Embezzler sentenced for stealing from two law firms
A tearful and apologetic Paulette Reed, who stole $556,756 from two local law firms while working as their office manager and bookkeeper, today was ordered by Erie County Judge Sheila A. DiTullio to spend the next one to three years in prison.

Isn't stealing from lawyers like cannibalism? Ripping anyone off is bad but lawyers thrive on screwing people out of money.

Haha, lets all make fun of the lawyers...they all steal money, they all try to screw the public, etc etc etc. Very original.
Every profession has its crooks. Plenty of doctors filing false medicare payments, plenty of accountants fudging numbers, plenty of contractors running off without finishing the job, plenty of office managers embezzling from their employers. Access to easy money attracts people from all walks of life. At least the law profession is self-regulating and disciplines its members when one goes outside of the strict rules of practice.
