Isn't stealing from lawyers like cannibalism? Ripping anyone off is bad but lawyers thrive on screwing people out of money.

Haha, lets all make fun of the lawyers...they all steal money, they all try to screw the public, etc etc etc. Very original.

Every profession has its crooks. Plenty of doctors filing false medicare payments, plenty of accountants fudging numbers, plenty of contractors running off without finishing the job, plenty of office managers embezzling from their employers. Access to easy money attracts people from all walks of life. At least the law profession is self-regulating and disciplines its members when one goes outside of the strict rules of practice.

After being confronted with her embezzlements, Reed told authorities she was using money she stole from the Simpson firm to repay the Lippes firm.

Simpson & Simpson is currently suing the Lippes firm to try to recover money Reed stole from it after she started repaying the Buffalo firm early last year.
Now that's funny!

BTW, Buffalo Snooze, "embezzlements" is not a word. You really need to hire better editors.
