Hard to believe people think that Maggie is a non loving person to those gymnasts. She was nothing but a wonderful boss and mother figure to me when I worked for her. I take it whoever is writing this mean stuff probably doesn't have a clue about what it takes to be the best and Magnitude is the best. :)

i have known people that took there and their kids loved it. First off, it is one of 2 gymnastics studios in the area. They are both tough. If it was easy your kids wouldn't learn anything. You want your kids to be the best when they are up on those high beams and stuff. i would imagine, they have to be tough because these children could get seriously hurt if they don't listen and follow directions. You want them to stop the moment they hear your voice. That is how we do in girl scouts because if we are out in woods or something and I tell them to stop they need to stop. It could be a dangerous situation they are coming near. So, I would check it out before you just cast them out of the woods. I have only been there a couple of times with my kids for birthdays, never for class but I have never heard anything bad until here.

My daughter went to another gym for years... I drive over 150 miles per DAY to bring her to Magnitude. Currently going 5 days per week - if the gym was not fantastic, that would not be the case. I'm crazy, not stupid. : ) My daughters meet scores skyrocketed after a few months. If u want the best gym in TN, look no further.

I found this site by accident and some of the things said on here are pretty crazy. To all the gymnasts that have wrote on here I understand that you love maggie and think that she is the best, but how many coaches have you had? I have been to my share of gyms and Magnitude was not my favorite for several reasons. I have been a gymnast for many years and like most competitive gymnasts want to win. But that isn't what it is all about. Yes if you don't give your best or you fall off beam you are going to hear from the coach at the next practice you know that, but sometimes it was a bit much. If you tried your hardest that should be all that matters not what place you came in. Also, favoritism was big in this gym, but yes all the gymnasts got coached. From a gymnasts view when another kid gets yelled at and corrected more than you thats favoritism because at the next competition when they get a higher score and win you are left out of the happiness. Magnitude may be the gym for you ... if you like Maggie. But before you stand up for this gym or critize it go and visit other gyms. Yes you may have to drive a few extra miles but if it is better for you or your gymnast what does it hurt. And lastly Gymnastics is a competitive sport but when you loose interest and it is no fun anymore then stop! Cause that is STUPID---Love the sport or find something else to do to love if you are still young or a senior in high school you have to love what your doing!

This is the worst run facility I have ever seen in twenty years or more of coaching. I have a license to coach gymnastics, and a degree in education. The owner literally lets boys bean girls with items in the gym. When trying to retrieve my child she put her foot in front of the door not allowing me to access my child. This is against public policy and against the law. They spend fifteen minutes instructing and the smaller children are made to sit still way too long. Out of the forty five minute class, the last fifteen minutes are free time where the instructors stand around talking, not even watching the children, which are generally behind the mats in the vault pit. Very negligent and rudely ran facility. She's lucky I was a man or I would have decked her. She should thank God my child was alright after three boys ganged up on her. I still may file a motion for criminal negligence. They do NOT care about your child and high pressure for sign up on the trial class. Totally unprofessional and rude. Worst management I've ever seen. I am also licensed to run a gym and these people have no business running a gym. They have some higher level older girls, but have no comprehension of teaching plans or how a real educator would be evaluated. Keeping parents from their underage children is against public policy. Protect your child. Do not go here. The manager is a total bitch. Responses to this post will not be responded to.

Owner is a complete bitch. Has no idea of how to run a gym. These people are not certified. Coaches stand around talking. Keep parents from retrieving small children. They break many public policy laws. A professional educator knows what they are looking at. Worst gym I ever saw. They need to be in a different business. Kept me from retrieving my child when being bullied. Poor planning. No lesson plans. No definition of "emergency". Expect too much from small children. Abusive environment. If you love your child, do not go to this gym. Worst place in the world. Owner needs therapy. DANGER DANGER DANGER! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

Magnitude was the first gym I tried for gymnastics and I loved it. It's a good place to go for structure and fun. It's great and I will forever love gymnastics. The coaches are awesome and help us become better gymnast. The music is fun inspiring and it's like pop music. And there's no favoritism. They don't hold you back they help you become better. This is a nice place and the people are great so I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a gym home.

I was thinking of asking my 8yr old here it would be here first time ever, and after reading the comments I'm so unsure! All of it seems quit childish!

Our daughter has been a part of Magnitude 10 for over a year now, and we have been very happy with our experience. We switched her over from another gym in the area because we were sick of inconsistent and unplanned practices with coach changes every three weeks. Magnitude 10 takes seriously their role in our daughter's progression. They might be tough but they are consistent and competitive. My daughter doesn't love the conditioning that her coaches make her do, but she sures loves them, even if they are hard on her at times. Overall, I would much rather have her in an environment where she is pushed and learns to deal with difficult tasks in a supportive atmosphere than sheltering her to any criticism at all, something that she will eventually have to deal with on her own. I would definitely recommend this gym to other parents and gymnasts.

I have never been to the gym but when I was at a meet this weekend I watched 3 meets that they were in and all of their girls did great ! One of their girls got a 10.00 on bars! All of the teams were great and I loved every one of the gymnasts floor routines. That's it :)
