Anyone having problems with druggies on the line. There is a guy I work with that carries bags of weed with him online and sells to various people that come and visit him throughout the day. Car line left early one night and there were 5 people lined up to buy from this guy. It doesn't get any more obvious than this does it?

We also now have people going into the bathroom and snorting cocaine. WTF!! This is getting out of hand. I have let hr know about this problem and given specific names, TWICE, and nothing is being done about it.

If there is gonna be layoffs or getting rid of a shift, how about a plant wide drug screening. That should cut the number of employees drastically.

They know but they cannot do anything because if they did they would not have enough people to run. Heaven forbid if you have to put offline people online, at least that is how it is in my area. Back before afternoon shift, they were trying to get good people, but many quit. As the deadline for shift approached they did not have the people to run it, so they became desperate an started hiring marginal people. This is the result of doing that.

this place takes advantage of hard workers while slackers(off line included) get off easy i dont blame these idiots for beating the system because the system will beat you........ come to think of it maybe im the idiot for caring and working hard :-(

dont bother with nissan or yates. supervisors play favoritism. don't care aboutgood employee's some can sit on forklift 4 hrs. on cell phone and nothing is said.if you try that your fired.

Supervisors def. play favorites looking at the new offline crew selection. The people chosen are the ones that kiss ass. They are average at best at their job.

I am done trying to go the extra mile on things that matter most at the plant. I go out of my way to help others and make sure they do not get defects. Maybe if I do a half ass job i will get promoted too.

Managers get bonuses based on the performance of their zones. Injury rates, and downtime is part of criteria they must meet. Taking people offline that causes defects an downtime helps managers achieve their goal. Taking the good workers offline causes problems for their productivity. Do the least you can, management takes advantage of you. All you basically are is a job whore if you try to learn everything. You get paid the same whether you act like a superhero, or you do the minimum.

If your tired of working all these Saturdays just pretend to be hurt. There are these two ladies on the line that have been "hurt" for over three months now. They just show up to work and just waste space. They are the reason no one is learning new jobs because our offline crew is busy doing their job.
All you have to so is continue to act hurt and nissan can't do anything about it. They can't fire you because they will have a lawsuit on their hands. It's worked for these women, and will continue to for however long

Actually in the state of tn an employer can fire a worker without a reason so they really aren't worried about a lawsuit. They just don't give a damn. What is messed up is they are bringing line 2 in at 6 I clock on Super Bowl Sunday. And one of the presses Is broke and probably on going to work 4 hours. Now u wana talk about pissed off people. Can't wait to see the look in people's faces

Truck line is messed up. One of the stamping machines motors broke and won't be fixed until Monday they said. 3rd shift will run atleast an hour they said because they left enough in the overhead for them. As far as 1st and 2nd on Monday, who knows. I just know I am pissed working 6 days and only getting 36 hours

It will affect both lines. It's what management gets. They've know that things in stamping were bad and kept pressing on instead of fixing the problem.

Problem is when you run 24 hours a day you have no time to fix anything. Combine that with upper management refusing to spend money on the equipment, an this is what you get, a part time job. They need to start paying everyone a full eight hour day, I feel sorry for you Yates people, your paycheck has to suck. Then management wonders why people quit. Hell even if you are Nissan, as much as we go home early you use all your vacation an PTO hours on break downs, which is what they want you to do, that way you are stuck coming in everyday or go unpaid. As long as we run three shifts this will happen, I told everyone on here before we even started doing three it would happen. You cannot run 31 year old equipment 64 cars a hour 24 hrs a day. This is the only reason they will more than likely go to a weekend shift. That way they have a few hours between shifts to work on things. But even then we will still short shift and I will tell you why. The dumbasses have never heard of pre-inspecting equipment before it actually breaks down. They run shit until it breaks down. They do not want downtime an they do not wanna spend money to fix the equipment. Like I said, we all get penalized for their stupidity. If they would pay everyone, but once again it goes back to cheap. Like I always say upper management is the whole problem with Nissan. Yates needs PTO hours an better vacation to help. Hell u can make more money an get better hours flipping hamburgers at McDonalds.

Let's get everybody all on the same page. Number one, if you think the pathway is any better other then the fact that if there is ever a lay off you will not be let go.( that's the only perk) oh oops forgot, you can lease a car you cannot afford. Cuz you still make 10.00 dollars less an hour. That's freaking $1600.00 a month people. Oh here is a great perk to, we get 24 hrs. To use as PTO time for the entire year, that's it people. You have to work five years before you get an addition week vacation and the vacation you get is for shut down.
I just hope for Nissan that no other company comes in and start giving treating people fair cuz they will see a big decline in work force.

you are exactly right..the only perk to the pathway is you dont have to worry about a lay off. if you work an off shift you actually lose .25cents an hour, and from what I hear, Yates' health insurance is actually better than Nissan's. People were really knocking themselves out when the pathway was announced..but now everybody realizes its not 'all that'. I may be wrong, but I anticipate sometime in the future all Nissan employees, both tier 1 and tier 2 will all be made equal. right now the supervisors have 3 different sets of rules to deal with...Yates, nissan, and "new nissan"...I don't think that will last. and it sucks for EVERYBODY..it sucks for people doing equal (or even better) work for less pay and benefits, and it sucks for Nissan if they lose what they have been used to getting for the last 10-20 years. The only winners are sitting somewhere in a luxurious office.
