Facts are facts, but gesture is welcome

We applaud Sen. Sam Aanestad for agreeing to a 5 percent pay cut for the state's coming fiscal year, which starts Wednesday.

This is the most self serving bunch of garbage I have ever seen. So what was Sam's income last year? ALOT more than 116,000 I am sure. this 5k probably is more like .5% of his income. We are supposed to think that now he "feels the pain" C'mon. Now lets see him cut the budget of his entire office by 5%. That would be more meaningful. Sam A is the epitomy of the empty suits we have "representing" us at the state level. More worthless political posturing.

Staff budgets were subject to 5% cuts a bit before this sudden shift from legislators. One could argue that's the reason for the change of heart, but one would have to know that fact to do so.
