Glendora, California has been warned each year since they OKd the intersection design and demend it a safe design.

Even though the City Manager and city council members have been warned since they OKd this they are putting the city in harms way for a serious LAWSUIT.

FootNote: Glendora loves to get involved in lawsuits, history has shown this to be true.

Working hard to shave the results.

Twenty pluss GPD officers and scouts are maning the roadways surround the "Glendora Liability accident" involving three cars at least.

what does an unsafe intersection have to do with someone driving reckless and running a light, that is just stupid and hopefully he didnt end up killing innocent people due to his stupidity

Totally agree with Lucky on this one. The guy that caused the accident was speeding and ran two red lights. It is not the city of Glendora's fault that people cant follow the law. I just hope everyone survives and that maybe this can be a lesson to other people when they want to shave a minute off there commute. Its not worth it

Once again POOR engineering on Glendora, California's part always make the headlines in one form or another.

Lies have always come first from the lips of those in Glendora city hall and city council members.

Maybe because they pucker up so much to get a head?

The roadway had nothing to do with why the accident took place. The odds that Mark Smith, the Glendora Town Idiot, is posting his usual hate Glendora garbage is 100%. All the facts will come out upon the completion of the investigation and he will once again be shown to be the total and complete mentally deficient lying loser that he is. If any posts ever sound like the ones he's put up here be assured they are probably lies and most likely written by Mark Smith, Glendora's enema.

Glendora mayor tries to silence gadfly and fails
hack
During a contentious meeting over a proposed assisted-living senior development, Mayor Ken Herman took a bold and scary move (for those who like to get out of council meetings before midnight): he dropped the time limits on public comment, with the idea that each side would allow a single spokesperson to do most of the talking. It didn't work out that way, with many citizens getting up to heap abuse on the city for their perceived easy handling of the developers.

One speaker, an 84-year-old man was particularly thorny: he first called out Councilman Dick Tessitor and asked him how he would like the project in his neighborhood, then staggered over to a supporter of the project in the audience who had challenged its detractors to look a senior in the eye and tell him they were willing to reject a senior development. At that point, Herman repeatedly told the man to sit down and stop talking, since the clock wasn't going to force the worked-up speaker to stop talking.

But the old man would not stop. As Herman called the name of the next commenter to come to the podium, the speaker refused to stop talking. And eventually, since Herman was not about to get someone to drag an old man away from the podium, the mayor had to sit and listen

In Glendora, Josh Betta will be introduced as the new finance director, and Jeffery Kugel as the director of planning and redevelopment.

Betta, who was once investigated for vulgar outbreaks, comes to the city from South Pasadena. Jeff Kugel is a Glendora resident, and previously worked for Covina.

Darkness Award / City of Glendora
CFAC also announced the 2007 winner of its Darkness Award, given to cities, agencies or individuals who stand against the goals of free speech and access to information. This year’s Darkness Award, presented last Friday, went to the City of Glendora, CA for its disregard of the California Public Records Act. According to CFAC, Glendora city officials required the public to pay excessive copying fees, created a mandatory records request form, demanded explanations from requesters as to the purpose of their requests—all in violation of state law.

One of the people involved in the crash was my daughter, who had just dropped her son off school and was yards away from, she was airlifted to the hospital. Thank God she only needed stitches, but she lost her car which was almost paid off.

The 18 year old driver was drunk and driving a stolen car. His passenger is critical.

Thank goodness your daughter is okay Sandie... And that her child had already been dropped off at school. I hope the person responsible for this accident will serve along time in jail. It doesn't matter what city or intersection the accident took place. There are stupid people everywhere. Good job Glendora PD for being quick responders and taking control of the situation.

The California FPPC filing, the party asserted that IRS documents also showed that Maldonado’s state Senate campaign may have failed to disclose a second 2007 fund-raiser.

The IRS rejected a bid by the family firm, Agro-Jal Farming Enterprises Inc., to write off a $16,473.43 catering fee for a “Harvest Party” thrown for 75 guests at the Santa Maria Country Club in April 2007.

Oh No, another Republican tea bagger krook caught with money still in their hot little hands or fists.
