The Talk

Imagine if you had a private company and you found out that your executive director was diverting sublease rent to his own pocket.

He would be instantly fired and sued for recovery of the funds. At the SGVCOG, these are elected officials and their executive director is diverting rent money from the taxpayers.

The president of the COG is a complete buffoon, or needs looking into himself.

How can he think this is not going to come to a head?

What is very frightening to me is that in this room of elected officials who are the ones who sit there without objecting to this?

Heads need to roll.

If the SGVCOG is to continue, and I am not sure it should, then it is definitely time for a fresh set of eyes.

Time for each and every City to remove it's current COG representative and appoint someone new to represent the people's interests.

It definitely needs to start with COG officers such as Gene Murabito/Glendoa,Angel Carrillo/Azusa, Barbara Messina/Alhambra, Dave Spence/La Canada, Joe Gonzalez/South El Monte, Gino Sund/District 5, Sam Pedroza/Claremont, Denis Bertone/San Dimas, John Fasana/Duarte you get the idea.

Pick up the phone, write a letter, go to a meeting and speak let our elected officials know that enough is enough!

I guess that is what is called the Nick Con-way of triple entry bookkeeping.

What a bunch of shuck and jive feather mocker's Conway and his auditor relatives are.

I can feel the 'A' orifice tightenings of the politicians involved in this, the skunky smell of the cowardly enablers by the head turning away poly tickans.

Oh man, oh man, heads are gonna roll, for this!

Nick Conway doles out plum committee assignments to these stooges.

He finds out what issue they are hot on and then creates a committee or gives them the chairmanship of the committee.

He even gets the Nancy Walsh's of the world to authorize spending our dough for the myriad of committees, subcommittees, ad hoc committees, working groups, etc.

The COG pays some $50,000.00 a year to provide a staffer for John Fasana/Duarte.....but it is not for his work with the COG, it is for his position on the MTA Board?

It really is run more like some type of damn cult than an agency charged with conducting business on behalf of the public.

Paid leave?

Are you kidding?

What a deal? Nick will be out having a good old time with his cronies Messina, Spence, Murabito, Tessitor and Gonzales while still sucking up public money.

While Nick's firm continues to profit and his staff will continue to get direction from him I'm sure - NOTHING WILL CHANGE WITH THE COG UNLESS AND UNTIL THEY GET RID OF THAT CROOK.

Why can't the Board see that?

I heard Arroyo just got a contract with the port authority?

Birds of a feather really do stick together!

Soon to be "jail-birds."

The sgvCOG is already paying him (nick conway) about $70,000 a month to run the COG.

He wrote his own contract to ensure that he get six months serverance.

You do the math, Spence from La Canada wants to reinstate him.

They have already paid almost half a million to fight CALTRANS and cover and help him out personally for lost income.

They will go broke and then come to Sierra Madre and other cities to raise their assessments to member cities.

Good news for the residents of cities in the SGV, Federal prosecutor's said the U.S. Attorney will continue to focus on public corruption.

Glad to see COG, Cudhay, Bell, Vernon, Glendora, Irwindale, El Monte and other cities are under a careful watch from Federal agencys to protect the honest voting public from criminal elements in local city governments.

The T stands for tardy in Nicks name.

Just round up all those who helped Nick Conway for all those years, those appointed or elected officials from each city involved.

Just squeeze'm like a grape, they will squeal just to save their own hides and whats left of their political careers.

Then the California tax payers will get some justice. we really could use some justice in the form of another scum-bag politicians being perp walked before the TV news cameras.

But the best part is watching as family and political friends lie their backsides off to protect and defend this political crook or crooks.

The sgvCOG operation was a full blown RICO operation, and all the time saying they were working for the benifit of each member city (31 or 30).

Why do I say this, since each member city was well versed in ethics and lobbying plus contract negotations etc. Each city manager, finance director and city attorney were given reports and briefings as to what was really happening on the inside or backroom deals with sgvCOG's operations,(RICO) I mean.

This includes Glendora, California and their crooked politicans.
