That was not a harsh enough punishment. He should have been fired from his job. Plus any postal worker that steals mail should get ten years automatically.

What was his sentence, i didnt see it in the link you posted. I also remember hearing somewhere that rummaging through a persons mail was a federal crime, that did sound a little extreme to me but it might be the explanation of why this is so uncommon either way i hope he gets punished to the full extent of the law.
