I've heard about 2 terrible motorcycle semi truck accidents this week. Are there too many semi's going to the port not being safe or too many unsafe motorcycle drivers?

We were driving down Fairmont the other day and a motorcycle flew past us down the middle of the two lanes...I would call that unsafe.

I have lived in La Porte adjacent to Fairmont Parkway since 2004, in that time I have seen or heard of atleast 5 fatal motorcycle accidents, most of them hit light poles though, also during this time semi truck traffic seems to have quadrupled, it is aggrivating enough for car traffic when these big rigs are blocking both lanes at a slow pace or cutting you off (I think becouse they feel they are bigger and you have brakes)So a person on a motorcycle could be tempted to manuveur between these monsters becouse they are small enough to do so. I take my kids to school every morning and pick them up in the afternoon, in my opinion Fairmont Parkway is alot more dangerous now with the heavy semi traffic, maybe a law keeping them (Semi's) in the right lane would be a good idea.

If the trucks are banned from Spencer then especially teenage drivers should be banned from Fairmont Parkway. Leave Fairmont Parkway to the big rigs and necessary industrial traffic. The motorcycles should be smart enough to avoid accidents. So be it.
