Good food, GREAT MUSIC. Had a great time visiting with all our friends, knew everyone there. Overall Wonderful night!! Service now that's another thing!! Where was the service? There 45 minutes before ask for a drink order. Had ask 30minutes before for a glass of water was never brought. Appetizers brought to table by owner but no plates where ever brought to table after 20 minutes had to go to bar and request plates..HAD TO BUS OUR OWN TABLE AND WAIT FOR WAITRESSS TO RETURN TO CLEAR TABLE..This must have been the first night our waitress had ever waited tables. Would be a great place to eat,drink and visit friends if we could wait on ourself.

Mirrors the very first and my last visit to that place,need some customer service training.
Either get more staff or utilize less tables.

It's just growing pains, folks...there is a learning curve when starting a new business...it appears to me they are doing everything right and trying their best to succeed...very enjoyable experience each time I have been there and will continue to support them

agree on the service. I had one drink - went back to the bar. I stood in front of the bar with the owners working it and was never helped. So I left. shame - could be a cool place.

I know the feeling....I dropped 110.00 in there for some good food and great wine but growing too fast is going to kill them. They have the right idea but could use some lessons in customer service. Also, way too much gossip going on at the bar......La Porte needs Mainly Drinks but does Mainly Drinks need us???????

Gossip about the bar or bar Gossip?? Bar owner full of gossip. But she is the GOSSIP!!!

Mainly Drinks is one of my favorite places; I have found the service to be as excellent as the food! La Porte needs this kind of place. There are certain people who will always drag down anyone that is successful, and "WOW" is one of those people.
I was there that night (I had the ribeye - excellent as always), and "WOW" was with a party near the front, listening to the live music (the Moondogs duet - also excellent). They were there all evening, listening to the music. They appeared to be having a great time. I guess "WOW" was the only one stewing in her own juices!
Don't let the haters on this site discourage you from trying Mainly Drinks!

We did have a wonderful time. Great friends, great food and great wine but the service was shameful. Not trying to drag down anyone. There was no stewing just honest reporting. Everything other than service was GREAT.

How long have they been open?

It seems new places always struggle with service at the begining.

I don't know how long they have been open but all this chatter means I will go and try it out.

I do know the owners donated quite a bit to the cast parties this past couple of weekends to the LPHS theater. And people are grateful for any support from the community to students.

So let's give this place a try. IMO

Here's a thought...if you are not happy with the service, quality, etc tell the manager or owner while there. Don't wait to complain on a forum such as this. Customer satisfaction is EVERY business owner's first priority. Otherwise, why be in business?

Tryed to talk with the owner before leaving and she didn't want to hear any comments or complaints, she was very unconcerned. Hence the post here.
