So I got in a shouting match with my "mailman" who turns out to be a woman. At first I thought thet the fat, slovenly, hairy waddling beast was a man. But then it became evident later that she was in fact a female.

She delivered my neighbors' mail to my house for the 3rd time in a week. I called after her and handed her the mail and said "you delivered it to the wrong house again" and she exploded. She started cursing and ranting and compaining that She had "60 houses" to deliver (boo-hoo) and that I was holding up everyone elses mail. So, being a little irate at her ranting, I tried to shut her up by saying "if you had done it right, I wouldn't be holding you up".

After that it degenerated into a pissing match of tame insults. So, now I am writing a letter to the postmaster to complain. Do you think I'll get my mail delivered right if I don't?

Pick your battles - be kind to others, you never know what they are going through.

My wife was a mail carrier for a few years. At first i picked on her for having a laid back, easy goverment job. I quickly learned how wrong i was!!

Daily i would hear stories about aggressive dogs, weirdo's and very irrate people.
The best of the stories come at the first of the month when everyone is waiting on there check.( Favorite story was a whole street of goverment check recepients. They would all be lined up next to the mailboxes with lawn chairs etc. If there check was late, she wouldnt even go down the street because of the threats, insults etc. 0.

Bottom line is, these carriers have a tough job. they put up with alot of crap from people that they shouldnt have to

Our carrier is a lady too and so far the only complaint we have is that she doesn't shut the box tight enough and it falls open. Other than that, no issues.

I gave my carrier $5.00 for Christmas and she was going to lunch on it! And a litle for the trash crew... anything extra makes their day!
TRY IT SOMETIME! You'll be glad you did!

Same as PWC, BUT, the carrier prior to her was our problem.

The neighbor behind us would get our mail and/or vise-versa, which happened quite often even though our street names were in no way similar. We just both had the SAME street number.
That wasn't really bad in and of itself*
except it was renters that lived there. So when a family would move out and a new one moved in, I would make it a point to introduce myself and tell them about the mail delivery situation. The good thing was that it was a good way to meet our neighbor. Also, in the 15+ years we've been in our house, we've had 5 different neighbors.

*I've always wanted to say that. ;~)

Mine is a b1tch. She delivers the wrong mail to me at least once a week. She's snotty and clearly hates her job. People from all over the neighborhood have brought me my mail as well. I have received other's government checks, etc. and things with vital information on them and stop what I am doing and deliver them to their rightful owner.

We get our neighbors mail all of the time. People make mistakes. Imagine having to sort that mail every morning. No one is perfect.

It's their job. If they can't cut the mustard then they need to hit the bricks. Imagine that, having to do it correctly?

We must have the same chick. Ain't government great? She'd make a great TSA agent. She's that incompetent.
