There's a young dog at the Whataburger on spencer the last several mornings. Spotted, smaller than a Dalmatian, bigger than a terrier. I wish I could take it but I am over my limit now. My rescue us an excellent pet...

There was a man living on the bench on Main street for quite some time... he may still be there.

Have you tried to approach the dog. Just wondering if he would hard to catch or would come up to someone.

My point is... people have more compassion for a lost animal than a lost human being.

Human beings have a choice
Human beings can fend for themselves
Human beings are the reason for there being LOST and ABANDONED animals

No one is lost and abandoned... God is there for each and every one of us... he loves each and every one of us and we in turn should love each other as he loves us.

He put us all here as caretakers of this planet... if we took care of our environment and each other the way God intended... no one would be without.

He gave us everything we needed... and left it up to us... if there is pain and suffering in the world... it's because people walk by it without caring.

God is there... everywhere... we just let our wants and our needs cloud our vision for him... and his vision for us.

Let God.
Live God.
Love God.
Let go.

The subject is compassion... someone had concern enough for the dog to post about it here, but not enough compassion to take the dog in themselves.

People walk by the needy with their noses in the air as if it were some disease.

I sat there in La Porte for three years... most of that time in a tent, not because I had to mind you... I was just trying to make a point.

But no one stopped by to see if I needed anything... or offered any help... even though I posted about my struggles with the City and the Port here daily, no one ever stopped by... except Dotty.

For that, Dotty will get my vote in every election she runs in.

Now, let's get back on track... has anyone seen this dog?

I don't want your pity... and this is not about me.

If I were doing things for me... I'd just stay here in California and not give a damn about this forum or the town.

BUT... this is about La Porte, the people, plants and animals that call it home... and the corruption that has set itself to going about destroying the city.

You're ignorant uncaring comments have never put a single dent in my efforts... I've not idea why you continue to try... and I bet you don't either.

Yeah, "Droopy" is still around. He's got it made as far as I am concerned. He just can come and go as he pleases. No bills to pay. No boss looking over his shoulder or commenting, "I noticed you were a minute late this morning. We can't have that. If you can't be on time I will have to let you go. " Or some nagging wife asking, "Are you drinking another beer? I wish you could be that enthusiastic about going to work regularly. ". If he wants to pick up can be can or not. Hungry? Just go over to the Messycan meat market and get some free tacos. He is a hunter gatherer of industrialized society.
