AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters)- Texas executed convicted murderer Anthony Doyle on Thursday as it kept the pace of executions steady while other states have had to postpone capital punishments because they cannot obtain drugs used in lethal injections.

Doyle, 29, was convicted of beating food delivery woman Hyun Cho, a South Korean native, to death in 2003 with a baseball bat, putting her body in a trash can and stealing her car.

Doyle was the fourth person executed in Texas this year and the 512th in the state since the death penalty was reinstated.

Consider how many people were murdered by Kenneth McDuff. I doubt the families of his victims care about any of the death row inmates.

As a result of overcrowding in Texas prisons,[1] McDuff was paroled on 11 October 1989 to Milam County, Texas.

Within three days of his release, he began killing again. He killed 31-year-old Sarafia Parker, whose body was discovered on October 14, 1989, in Temple, a town 48 miles south of Waco along the I-35 corridor. However, he was soon returned to prison on a parole violation for making death threats to a black youth in Rosebud

Yep... turn lose murders and rapists... to make room for all the nonviolent drug offenders, Elaine.

You've only yourself to blame.

Like I said... I never get angry with the truth.

Your perception of me is totally wrong... and so is your perception of what you believe life is supposed to be like.

Typical Pro-Life Republican....loves the death sentence, won't provide healthcare for kids or moms, or for that matter funds for education.

Life begins at conception and ends at birth.

If he had been executed, those poor girls would still be alive today. More murderers should be executed.

I am on record as being against jailing idiots for drug offenses.

No reason to blame me.

Kenneth McDuff was the only prisoner ever paroled on death row. How did he manage this? His mother did a lot of research and hired an attorney, Gary Jackson from L:indale, Texas to be his parole coordinator. It just so happened that Jackson had grown up with James Granberry the head of the Parole board.. Because of this Texas did away with parole coordinators.

Texas executes retarded people that have been convicted based on testimony from their conspirators. There have been several regards executed based on testimony given by the actual triggermen(the people who actually killed the person). If we are going to have a death penalty, it needs to have its own set of courts to handle appeals in an expeditious manner. The process should take no longer than five years or less.

I am not a supporter of the death penalty in its current form. I am for summary execution for people caught in the act of killing someone while running from the cops, people who take hostages with a weapon, robbers caught in the act who harm their victims, anyone caught mugging a senior citizen, etc..

I am in favor of "life without parole" it is far less expensive on the taxpayers and doesn't clog the courts the way death penalty cases do.

Feel free to hate.

I would rather be killed than live life in solitary confinement in a prison cell. No punishment is a deterrent for the desperate or addicted, I don't see why people think it is.
