Desperation breeds odd bedfellows. She has been working the phones and having the LAUSD school police union writing letters on her behalf in order to get endorsements. Apparently, that is going to be her tack. By saying, "look, you should elect me, all of these people who don't even know who I am have endorsed me (because no one else asked them)".

Jesse will endorse anyone just to feel important. he should have waited and done his homework first.

good point NWK 4, now there is a Foundation education President who filed. I heard he raised money for teacher grants up to like 18K. More than the sitting board has done. I got to investigate more.

Dont know about teacher grants, I only understand that he was a conduit for donated computers, and then it was isolated to his kids' school. We have the same thing with some of the parents at a couple of the elementary schools on the east side here. They put in time and effort, but I dont see them tooting horn. Do it more for the kids than a stepping stone. Still, it takes time and effort, so that's more than the LAUSD security person has done.

Ive seen Chris Pflanzer in action...he's all about the kids and his actions speaks loudly. He didnt just donate computers to his kids schools...he did to many..he spends most days at the district and works closely with them and principals.Ive seen him out on the soccer field...volunteering on PTA's ....he's truley about the kids and education-he has a great family..and i think he would bring positive changes to the district-

I would like to see fresh new faces on the school board, don't you. Margaria Rios is an educated Latina woman and mother. Her children attend schools in NLMUSD. Therefore, she has a stake in the decisions that school board members make. She will be one of the candidates I will vote for. Jesse Urquidi is another candidate who has demonstrated a committment to students and teachers. In my opinion, current board members Daryl Adams and Ana Valencia need to retire. Oh wait a minute, Ana Valencia wants to keep her school board seat until an assembly seat is open. I have to ask what is her true priority, our children or her political aspirations? It does matter!
