A letter Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote to his third wife, Mary Sue, when he was in Las Palmas around 1967: "I’m drinking lots of rum and popping pinks and greys..." The author of an unauthorized Hubbard biography also says that "John McMasters told me that on the flagship Apollo in the late sixties he witnessed Hubbard's drug supply.'It was the largest drug chest I had ever seen. He had everything!'". This was confirmed by Gerry Armstrong through Virginia Downsborough who said in 1967 Hubbard returned to Las Palmas totally debilitated from drugs. His drug use appears to pre-date the 1967 accounts. Hubbard claimed in a letter to his first wife that he had once been an opium addict. The last sentence of the letter reads: "...I do love you, even if I used to be an opium addict.

It is a travesty that someone from $cientology is giving drug abuse lectures since the founder L. Ron Hubbard was a drug user. Hubbard died hiding from the FBI who were searching for him because of his involvement with Operation Snow White: the largest domestic infiltration in the history of our government. Thirteen $cientologists served time for this spy ring---including Hubbard's wife Mary Sue. A respected organization like the Salvation Army should really educate themselves about who they associate with. I'm sure when it becomes common knowledge that $cientology's Sea Organization forces their members to have abortions; deals in human trafficking (human trafficking info turned over to Amnesty International whose London offices are reviewing the info right now); brainwashes Sea Org members with a process that includes sleep deprivation, starvation, transportation to a foreign country, and long hours of manual labor; and mental and physical abuse? Many organizations, celebrities, and politicians will be ashamed and some will be ruined because they did not find out what goes on in this horrible cult. The information is out there. Start educating yourself at exscientologykids.com This is a website started by three young women raised in $cientology, including Jenna Miscavige Hill who is the niece of the current leader of $cientology David Miscavige. One of the other founders of the exscikids website is Astra Woodcraft---who left the cult when they were trying to force her to abort her child. Educate yourself.

The funny thing about this article, is that it is five years old. Captain Trish no longer works with the SA in La Mesa. The youth education programs have faded out, in favor of helping homeless people in La Mesa. This "news" is extinct. I guess it's all the Scientologists have to promote themselves these days. I called the Salvation Army for verification, as I was planning on writing a piece on this sort of infiltration. The man I talked with recalled the program, but it's long gone. I guess they're gearing up to promote the same garbage that got their drug education outreach called Narconon kicked out of California public schools.

Since this is not news, but more of a roundabout way of promoting Scientology flavored drug education programs to the public, it might appear to violate the terms of service agreement: i. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas (such as shopping) that are designated for such purpose.

There is no depth that Scientology will not go to in order to promote their Cult. It never ends, just BS after BS...
