Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone Running For Senate Seat

Last week, Jeff Stone kicked off his campaign for a senate seat that includes San Diego County. Joel Anderson, R-Alpine will be his Republican opponent.

Jeff Stone has a history which should disqualify him from running for office.

In October of 2008, Mr. Stone introduced an ordinance which would curtail picketing around residences. Ordinance 884, it turns out, was introduced by Stone at the behest of the Scientology organization, which maintains a compound in his jurisdiction. Indeed, Mr. Stone's personal attorney Sam Aldahef also represents the Scientology interests in Riverside County.

He consistently refuses to acknowledge the beatings, coerced abortions and abuses on Scientology's compound in his district, while posing as a champion for human and women's rights.

Yes, Mr. Stone is trying very hard to protect David Miscavige and the Church of Scientology™ from investigators and critics. It will be interesting to see if he continues in light of the recent St. Petersburg Times articles about the beatings taking place in the Riverside compound. As if the spikes on the fences and the camouflaged "observation" posts above the Gold Base are not enough... now everyone should wonder why Stone is protecting the Cult? If he was duped, why not admit it and be over with it? He would not be the first! Wow why is everyone so concerned about the church of scientology all of a sudden? O let me guess, you are all fundamentalist christian fanatics right? Youtube is for the bored and teenagers. I guess you've never read about the goings on at Gold Base, or you would be concerned too. It's a very dangerous place, and I grew up in the shadow of it.

No breaks for crooked politicians. No breaks for politicians who turn a blind eye to human rights abuses, shattered families, coerced abortions and human trafficking in their areas.

You see where I'm going with this, cookie? Your "why don't you..." absurdity is reflective of ignorance. Blackwater is everybody's problem. Jeff Stone is our specific problem. Don't you think it's better to clean up the area in which we live?

There are people suffering under Scientology's thumb right now at Gold Base. There are victims being prevented from leaving, held against their will, imprisoned. There are minors being exploited.

Do you think we should simply ignore these victims who have no voices, cinnamongirl? You express your concern about Blackwater, yet vile abuses are being carried out right here, right now. I think it's time their plight was exposed, and those who enable these influential people who oppress them be condemned to obscurity rather than public office.
