Night of Terror -- Question of Human Rights

Making Human Rights A Reality by Patty Wilkins "Night of Terror" on Nov. 15, 1917, when the warden at the Occoquan, Virginia's women's prison, ordered his guards to teach a lesson to the suffragists imprisoned there because they dared to picket Woodrow Wilson's White House for the right to vote. You've heard of Women's Suffrage. It is a movement of Women who fought for the right or privilege of voting (suffrage) in the United States for 70 years. It was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the polls and vote; and this after an active 70 year battle to win this right. This is the story of our Grandmothers and Great-grandmothers; they lived only 90 years ago (some are still living). In 1917, suffragists set up a daily picket line outside the White House—a first in American history. They continued even after the nation entered World War I and, as a result, were accused of being traitors. Insisting that they were political prisoners, Lucy Burns demanded the warden respect their rights, only to be beaten and cuffed with her arms above her cell door. In solidarity and defiance, the other suffragettes assume Burns' painful posture. By the end of the night, they were barely alive. Forty prison guards wielding clubs and their warden's blessing went on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted. What does that mean? It means all of us, no matter who we are, have the right to use the law. I am a person just like you! I am not to be treated any less before the law. Did you know you had that right? This is the #6 human right of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This document of 30 human rights was written by a committee of the United Nations, headed by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of former United States President, Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945). On December 10, 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Scientology should stand trial for the hundreds of lives it has destroyed, the savings it has extracted, the families it has shattered.

Youth For Human Rights is a hollow shell. It is a mere front puppet for Scientology, which violates the human rights of critics, ex-members and current members.

Forced abortions, slave wages, and squalid conditions await the most dedicated who join the Sea Organization.

How can you claim to champion human rights while you deny even the basic rights to members?

And why is Amnesty International investigating Scientology for human trafficking?

Youth for Human Rights is a Scientology front group, used to distract the public from the many human rights violations that Scientology practices on a daily basis. why are there spikes to keep people in at gold base? why is there a snipers nest? why have so many Sea Org members had abortions? WHAT IS THE RPF? don't put a blind eye towards these people infiltrating your la mesa neighborhood

This is so ironic. Have you been paying attention to what is happening out in Hemet? Can you say "hypocrisy"? The folks from the Gold Base (Scientology's Golden Era Production facilities and the home of the leader of the "church", David Miscavige) have been carefully orchestrating new laws to prohibit picketing of their facility (ostensibly because people live on the base and therefore it is residential to some degree). Have you seen what the Scientology Gold Base security guards do to activists who "dare to picket"? This is rich. What a horrible example you chose, Patty. And I know you. You're a good person. It's too bad you're blinded to the truth.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Gemini

It's a busy day and you've got quite enough to do without having to cope with people clamoring for your attention and likely to go into a huff if they don't get it. Is this person feeling neglected because you're busily occupied elsewhere or are there other reasons for their demanding mood? Simply giving them a big hug could make all the difference to their behavior.
