A few years back we had a great treat occasionally...a flock of wild parrots would visit a tree behind us...on the border between the East End Historic District and San Jacinto Neighborhood...
I have not seen nor heard about them since IKE...has anyone?

YES they actually landed on the wires at my friends home on Teakwood just off 57th... must have been about 8-10 of them and he said in all the years he has seen them he has NEVER seen them land only go flying by! they have nests in the ball filed lights not far from their home they are so big they look like condo's.... I was told they go in every now and them to destroy them due to the danger of the electrcity and the sticks they build with....
