as it goes, i tried every route available to get to the bottom of it. she is extremely devious and hides facts well, maybe beyond the intelligence of those who make assumptions. for instance,'knowledge' of drugs does not suggest 'user' of drugs. as for feelings about her, at the time i wrote it my dad still had a comfy lifestyle, and has since remortgaged the house for this woman and outcasted anyone who dare to raise question about her. as for what i should not be doing, i personally raise my children and avoid drugs at all cost, NOT hang around with hardcore users. she was invited into my family and i was the one trying to get to the bottom of the lies and deceit that now control my estranged fathers existence. i suppose some would just phone the police because its "less effort", then sit and wait for an outcome. some have a bit more about them, try that little bit harder, and also do their own research, in every place possible. i guess you've never came across the latter. thanks for your assumptions though, it was a brief reminder of how negative and ignorant some people can be.

No record of a Margaret Chauncey missing in Texarkana Texas.
This could be a Texarkana Arkansas case???
A source of mine advised she was last seen with a doctor but the doctor is not a suspect.
Margaret may have been seeing another man who was not questioned according to my source.
Last record of Margaret is 1992 when she received a speeding ticket.
My source advised Margaret and her car has been missing for years.
Where did you read about Margaret?
Can you post the article and I'll continue to look into her case when I have time.
On The Candy Project, it lists Margaret Jane Chauncey as missing from Texarkana, Texas Since October 20, 1987. It says that she may be going by the name Latimer. It also says that foul play was suspected. It described her car but doesn't give a plate number, only that it has never been found either. She was a fellow classmate.

Anyone know who this TruthSeeker is? Post #499

That screen names rings a bell with me. Could be nothing, could be everything. I have read this case twice now and it intrigues me.

Are you thinking the "Galveston Serial Killer" could be connected to this case? I don't know who TruthSeeker is but Tasha was my best friend and I continue to follow read these comments hoping to get answers.

Before I respond, refer me to where Tasha is discussed. I am not familiar with her case. I will then give my reasons after I reread her circumstances. Thank you.

I'm sorry, this thread is about her. My apologies. It has to do with the area in and around Galveston and the poster's name. When I saw it my antenna went up immediately. I have read this thread all the way through twice now. I would simply like to identify the person making that categorical statement.

I don't quite know what to make of your post. I suppose it is supposed to be "funny."

I merely asked if whoever made this post had good reason to say the following.

"I think Galveston area serial killer is definitely a cop."

If so, why? And who is the person who believes this? I'm interesting in pursuing this line of thinking. I would hope the poster made it seriously in view of the subject matter.

This is probably not the answer to this sad case but it might be worth checking out as there is mention of the I45 murders. The jurors were instructed not to consider that possibility as allegedly told to the father by one witness.

...(Snip)"During Hedrick's trial, no mention of the "killing fields" came up in testimony, Miller said. One witness was told, while the jury was not present, that he could not mention the topic on the stand, despite the "State's notice of intent," Miller said.

The notice of intent also included this statement: "In Galveston County, Texas, between the years 1991 and 1993, the defendant (Hedrick) would come back home with a different shirt and would be saying repeatedly that he had 'done it again.'"...(Snip)

I asked previously who this "Truthseeker" is. The name definitely rings a bell and it is entirely possible that his statement is a confession of sorts. Or he knows the cop he believes is responsible. That was post #499. Serious replies would be appreciated.

I'm going to ask the question one more time.

Anyone know who "Truth Seeker" (post #500) is? I would very much like to establish contact with him or her as the case may be.

I would imagine truthseeker's idea that the serial killer must be a cop would be based on various factor's from the crime scenes. Could be the fact that several of the girls' vehicles were on the side of the road with the keys in them ready to start and drive away as if they were pulled over by a cop and asked to step out of the vehicle and disappeared..
Could be the many clues left in the alleged confession letter.
Could be the botched handling of evidence so as to allow DNA evidence to disappear in several cases.
Could just as well be a hunch.
Look at the mysterious nature of female murders that actually were solved in Galveston County. Did they actually catch a guilty perp or frame an innocent man?
