The Green parrot is not too far from where this video was taken. If you notice the white car sitting in the field this is at 24th street and there is a trailer still standing there. Prayers to you.

We have a Condo in Club of the Isles on Cove View Blvd. Is it still there and if so is it damaged. Our prayer go out to the people in Galveston.

My parents live in LaMarque, their house is okay but without power for a while now, not sure how long before they should get power. They are still there with my sister and her husband, would like for them to leave but what I am hearing is that people should stay in their houses. Is there a number they could call for help?

My family lives in LaMarque also. I haven't heard from them since last night. I know that they were okay, no flooding at that time. Haven't heard from them at all today. Hoping they will find a way to get in touch with me soon.

Our home is in the 2700 block of 33rd Ave. N. in Texas City. Is there any news about that area and is there any estimates of when the power will be back???

I am on their website watching live video on the areas. Galveston is a mess. They have showed some damage in LaMarque and Texas City but it doesn't appear to be as bad as other areas which is why they are probably not showing much about those areas. They are showing people passing out food in Houston. I would just like to know my family is okay. I think my sister bought enough stuff to last them 5 days but I don't think it's going to last them. I wish I knew of some way to get someone to go check on them or even find a way to let me know what's going on if anything. It's hard not being able to contact them on their cell phone. I see you are in Tyler, they have family there, wish they would have left but my dad is about as hard headed as I don't know what.

Distributing food in Galveston, military rations. Wish they would say they are checking on folks in LaMarque and Texas City. Hopefully they are and just not well know areas to be reporting on in the news.

Thank God!!!! On the phone with my sister now. The house phone is working, can make out going calls but can't receive in coming calls. Went to go get ice from HEB in Texas City but the line was unbelievable. Looting has been going on. They don't have a generator but one of their neighbors does so they gave him some gas and he gave them some ice. Found a bread truck selling bread and were able to get that. The roof is off of the LaMarque High school and they have 4" of water inside. Curfew is 5pm to 5am. Not sure how much good it will do. No one going door to door to check on anyone. My sister's husband job was broken into, he works at a Mobil in LaMarque on Hwy 6.

Thanks for the update. We talked to a brother-in-law in LaMarque yesterday but have not been able to get through to him again. All of our neighbors left town also. It's pure hell not knowing what's going on at your home.
