I'm getting a little tired of The Potter House idiots picketing accross to street from the High School on Mondays. Im tired of them shouting at my child, telling her she is going to hell. I say it's time to fight back, who wants to picket them this Sunday with signs that say, "Haters go to Hell" and "This church is a cult"?

Why dont you contact DPS and see if the Potter's House has a permit to assemble across from the high school?

Are you sure it's The Potter's House? And if so, then for what reason have they said they are there? Also, if you're so concerned about the effect it's having on your daughter then why aren't you there with her and shouting back? Or are you one of those lazy parents who'd rather complain on Topix and talk about things you'd like to do rahter than doing them? As the previous poster said, first check with the city to see if they even have a right to be there in the first place. If they don't, then then call the police to do their work. If they do, then get your own permit and shout back.

Didn't know this was going on. Is it just Mondays or everyday? Would like to go take a look to see what is happening.

I spoke with the police and they said they have a permit to do it. The radio station says they have told them to stay off their property so they stand on the sidewalk.
Eventually someone is going to loose there temper and start a fight.

Then what is the yelling about? That's what the originator of this thread was saying. I don't think you're looking for converts when you're yelling at people. You're trying to get across some point. What is their point?

You still haven't said what the yelling is about. All you're doing is trying to incite on the other side. First find out what their point is and then get back to us. And I'm sure the "yelling" is not aimed at your daughter. There must be a point that they are trying to make. What is it? You truly sound like one of those people who only goes by second hand info and then chews it like a dog does a bone. Do some first hand research first.

these are the same folks that would stand on the corner of White Sands and 10th St on Friday nights with a bullhorn and yell at everyone. 'come to OUR Jesus or burn in hell'. how attractive.

Isn't this kind of crazy? The radio station and everyone else seems to be fine with the drug selling and cigarette smoking going on by these kids on that property but not with some religious people trying to get some message out. I've driven by there at lunch and after school and have to wait on these half dressed children to saunter across the street. I'm always curious to know if parents have any clue what their children are or are not wearing and who they are hanging all over.

I don't need anyone cramming their religious beliefs down my kids throats.

The parents probably don't care because they probably act and dress the same way themselves. They are also likely the same parents who allow their kids to have friends over and underage drink and have "sleepovers" by their kid's boyfriends/girlfriends, all the while excusing their own failures as parents by saying, "If they didn't do it here they'd do it somewhere else. At least I know where they are when they drink and use drugs and have sex."
