It sounds like the new superintendent of the NLMUSD Ruth Perez just wants to make waves. NLMUSD enrollment is declining and they have no need for this campus. I hope the city of La Mirada does what it can to keep this great school right where it is.

The district needs $$ and needs to liquidate assets. I guess the rental money is not enough. Maybe Heights can purchase the site?

so Ruth saw that the city is making more money than the district on the lease..and wants to lease directly to Heights rather than the city..
...if they're thinking of selling it..they probably would get more money by continuing leasing.. Wonder if they'll continue to let leagues use the fields?!! |
