Family mourns man killed in officer-involved shooting
He was a proud longtime Austin resident, Victoria Schaefer, his daughter-in-law, said Saturday.

Sadly although Mr.Schaever had every legal right-Federal and State to NOT hand over his holstered non-threatening firearm, he was pushed by Austin Police Officer Jonathan Whitted to the point where he felt the need to protect himself on his own front yard.
Unfortunately, in this case, Mr.Schaever was literally dead right.
Has America degenerated to the point where Police Officers feel threatened by a Citizen in legal possession of a firearm?
