I am looking for a good lawyer and someone from Lafollette said Wes Hatmaker was a good one. Does anyone know if he is? Please tell me the truth because no one has money to throw away on a lawyer if he is not worth it. There is nothing worse than an unethical lawyer. It defeats what he stands for.
Please

There is no way I would waste my money on this guy period.
If you chose to throw your money away, by all means go ahead and retain him as your attorney.
That's about as honest as I can be.

I have always recommended Wes to folks and he has been very good. Reasonably priced to. Mike's health isn't up to par anymore - so Wes has kinda taken up where he left off, he's very good.

it matters what is the lawsuit, general practitioners practice all sorts of law and can do wills ect. But, if it is personal injury or work comp, then I'd recommend David Dunaway. I just adored his staff when I interned there and the man is a pitbull! I've never seen a man work harder and demands perfection from himself and others.

He will take your money (his fees are outrageous) and than you will rarely see him or hear from him. If you leave a message with his secretary telling him to call you back...you are wasting your time, he will not call you back. He will not return any money to you that you have paid even though he does not do $300 to $500 worth of work. He will not show up in court. If you are young, let's say a teenager, you might as well throw your money out the window instead of giving it to him, because he will not help you...yeah, he might say he will represent you, but once you pay him you will be lucky if he calls you once. You have to constantly stay on his back for that representation you paid for, but you will NOT GET!!!! Please find yourself another lawyer that does what he gets paid for. This man will only take your money and run.

I would say that unless an attorney has failed to properly serve and has only lost a case by a judge or jury decision it does not mean he hasn't practiced properly. Now, if he failed to meet a deadline, and lost on statue of limitation or what have you, well thats a problem. If not then you just lost on merit or his argument wasn't agreed upon by the judge or jury. Well, thats not to say there could be other means of how he failed but that is a question for an attorney. But, even good attorneys lose sometimes. Haha or maybe they weren't good enough to see a losing cause, I don't know. A battle worth winning is worth the cost. Especially when there is some deplorable act to address, even if it isn't already in the law books. For example, it wasn't that many years ago when Internet crimes and online child predators became an issue for the courts. There was nothing there to quote or argue, so this is a case when you do the right thing even if there will be an uphill battle.

But, law offices are required to keep you informed, one of the main leasons taught in paralegal courses, as usually the paralegal is often who you will see. An awesome way is to send you copies of all communications and items received on your behalf as they come in. Nothing worse than being in a lawsuit with no idea what is going on. It also covers an attorney's butt proving the client was being informed. But, if this hatmaker is not maintaining communication I can understand the frustration.

. If u have a question of statute of limitations u need to ask an attorney. I can't answer that since I am not an attorney, as I can't answer for the iPhone changing my words as I write over 30-40 words per minute and do not catch a typo that led to a word that is in the phones dictionary.

I obtained Brent Gray as an attorney from the firm where Wes and Mike Hatmaker work. I was satisfied with his services. I will use him again.
