The numbers of homeless in the county grow every year. Most of the leaders of Campbell County are ineffectual and selfish and so there is no homeless shelter in the county unless you are a battered woman. This includes the useless churches. Most of the churches spend there tithes on new carpeting, bigger buildings, fancier sound systems, and of course higher salaries for staff. There is a homeless shelter in Williamsburg, KY.

The Texaco is up town in lafollette past were Sonic is on the same side of the road. As for soup kitchen or any other kind of help besides that church I know of none. But I agree there should be. These churches should pull together to do it but don't seem to be concerned.

Tuesdays is a start but the other churches could do it to and fill on the other days there are more than enough churches around to be able to help out and you know they have plenty to help with plus they could use it for write offs.

It is not that the churches are not concerned. They are concerned. But some of them have gotten as you would say burned by people asking for help and then using their money or trading food and such for drugs. I don't think a church should help someone like that.Churches need to investigate people before giving to them. We know one family a church gave money to so they could pay their electric bill and the family took the money and went to dollywood and their electric was shut off. CAN'T TRUST ANYONE.

i used to manage lots of rental property and churches have paid peoples rent many times. And usually it was for people on drugs that was just taking advantage of the church.

I know churches in caryville who have paid for people to stay in motels and set up tabs at local stores to feed them and people were buying beer and drug paraphenalia on the church's tab.

The churches should have made a agreement with those stores and made vouchers that said what they were to be used for like those people that get gas at BP that are going for chemo treatment. They have no problems with those.

The stores do call the church and do put a stop to it. But it is amazing what these druggies will do and many people get taken for a ride by them, especially older people in the church who dont understand how bad it is on the streets.

It is for you. If you call yourself "their friend", then it would be YOU to allow them to live in your home. pfft some friend. Is it that lady with long grey hair with a back pack on? She's homeless but she has no excuse. Campbell county would be homeless if it wasnt for the government giving them all the money they needed. She's homeless because she isnt right. she...fkn....stinks too holy shit
