I don't recommend the Ambulatory Center in Wartburg or Dr. Redmond. He seemed to be a good doctor at first, but if his staff decides they don't like you, they will claim you failed a urine test when you didn't. Then you get dismissed and have trouble finding another doctor because they have ruined your records with a lie.
they sure will and the Medical board should know about it

Pain clinic? How about just going to your primary physician? Pain clinics are just money-making, legal drug pushers. Are you an addict? If so, please seek help for your disease.
"DWIGHT" THE "PRIMARY PHYSICIAN" in this town is the reason why a lot of people in this town is going to pain clinic today.

I don't even know if I'll change anyone's mind about this, but I am simply horrified at the reactions to everyone to chronic pain. I have a genetic congenital condition where my body is literally falling apart because of defects of my collagen. I have a minimum of 35 joint dislocations a day. I have nerve pain because the dislocations pinches nerves, and I have developed scoliosis as an adult, because of the instability of my ligaments and tendons, which are supposed to actually hold everything together (and with people with normal collagen, it does).

I don't fecking think that any sort of positive thought, yoga, exercise, magic potions that are just as "useless" as people proclaim pain medications to be will do anything to fix my faulty genetics. You accusations that people need to just "get over" pain, and that they can convince themselves that it doesn't hurt makes me want to break your leg and tell you to use your mental powers to make it not hurt.

Until you go through something like this, then you have no FECKING right AT ALL to proclaim your theories on pain, and how positive thinking and exercise can fix everything. I know that medication is not a fix (no more than your solutions) but unless you go through what I do on a daily basis, you need to shut your trap when it comes to "diagnosing people" and "prescribing cures". Some would say that is practicing medicine without a license. I would say it shows a great deal of ignorance and stupidity and a complete lack of empathy and understanding.

Dr. McNeil is the biggest pain pill pusher in East Tennessee. When I went there after breaking my bact they constantly asked me if I wanted more Oxys. They are perscribing 3x the reccomended dose. I moved to Dr. Fox at Active Pain Center. Very few druggies hanging out there. McNeil's waiting room is the Who's Who of suppliers in Knoxville.

i called wellness and they dont take insurance so they want u to pay 300 dollars for the first vist and every vist after.if they decide to accept u
i would think if they were there to help people manage legitimate severe pain they would accept insurance. so why dont they?

to "mom in pain" - if they don't take insurance, and insist all visits are $300 CASH each visit, then I hate to say it but it sounds more like a pill mill then a legit "wellness" medical practice. Pill heads/dealers can well afford that kind of money for "visits" and cash basis keeps ins. co. outta the picture to risk investigation.

LAST thing this place needed. UGH!

Definitely not a pill mill - the DEA would've already closed their doors & they've been successfully running for over a year. For Pain clinics, the DEA has the strictest rules & regulations, that's why many get closed down. However, Lafollette Wellness follows the rules and are able to help the patients suffering with chronic pain. It's $300 (cash not accepted) for the FIRST visit only. And they supply you with papers to file with your insurance to get reimbursed from your insurance for LEGIT visits. Addicts/Abusers/Sellers are discharged as soon as their lies are brought to light. Research more before negative comments are made!

Still odd...

What would be the business logic then, of $300 (not cash) MO, check whatever 'cash' for first visit, even if it is "for the FIRST visit only"?

A year open doesn't really resonate with sound ethics considering how many 'pain med' facilities the DEA has to keep up with let alone get on top of as DEA is federal over the ENTIRE nation... not just this podunk little town/county, even though CC is in fact #1 county for drug abuse of the entire state of TN... maybe you have a point, that that fact alone would have it near the top of their list as 'hot spots' so would pay closer attention for 'red-flagging'?.... not sure about that.... doesn't seem plausible even though it SHOULD work that way.
