I'm sure it would help all the pill heads who are regulars there if they installed a drive thru. Then you would still have to listen to people whining about "why is it so slow."

If you want good service and to be taken care of, it takes time. When you have people going there for a tooth ache when they need to go to the dentist then yea service will be slow. When you have people going there that don't really need to be there, then yes service will be slow. When you have people who dont have to pay for their insurance or know what its like to pay medical bills, of course you will find they are the first ones there to get care, then complain. People these days don't have patience. They think it should be in and out. Want fast service? Go to McDonald's. Now let me hear you whine about how slow they are too haha. Can't please everyone.

I had to take an older person there twice during the last month. He was given excellent care both times, by a caring professional staff. The last time was this week-end. We had to wait longer to be seen because of the crowd of young adults (under 50), ahead of us. They all had several other people "hanging out" with them. They all seemed to be able to go in and out to smoke, txt., get drinks and snacks out of the machines; you get the picture. The hanger outs, also known in some circles as JAFFO's,didn't even offer their seats to patients, that were waiting. I was impressed by the curtesy of the staff.

You are absolutely right. It's a shame people are like that. I never knew it took an entourage to go to the hospital. Must be the pill heads waiting on one to get a script for pain meds.

They do have excellent care there, and an excellent staff.
ok but

wow, yeah that's not right. I dot know what they would do, I saw an entire family once waiting around to see what a little kid was having wrong. There was like 8 adults for the kid. I can understand a situation like that. But an adult doesn't need an entire entourage.

Now, I know a person that had a broken wrist and jacked up leg and she was sent home without a brace and only ibuprofen. She is just recovering from cancer and has lost so much weight she looks like a druggy, I think that's why they didn't give her any real medication.

I was having heart palpitations and seizures all one morning and went in there and they didn't do anything but found I had a UTI, probably why I felt so bad compared to usual, but first thing out of the doctors mouth was I'd likely have to go back to my specialist. Then was rude when she saw my half filled bottle of oxycodone, if I was there for pain medicine why would I bring that? Then after being told I have a plate in my neck and dystonia she proceeded to yank my neck and push down on it while she checked my ears and as I slightly pushed her away saying "my neck" she grabbed my head and did it again. Was very stupid!

I know for a fact all this place is good for is to give medication to drug addicts no more no less if you do have a serious illness hopefully you can make it to knoxville hospitals had my mother up here and got a lot of treatments that she didn't need but after her insurance had been used up they sent her home sicker than she was to start with took her to another hospital she got the treatment she needed and is doing good now

I honestly just don't understand how the place is allowed to continue to remain open, let alone so-called treating patients. The place really scares me. IMO it'd be far better off getting shut down so that anyone that does need hospital care leaves EMS no choice but to take whomever to K'ville so there's no FORCED chances taken by those most vulnerable!!
