I cannot believe that someone that calls themself a minister and in a band would say something negative about Southern Gospel.

"FYI you say I don't nothing about the music biz, if you did not know there was no GMAs this year, what that means is Southern gospel is dead, it has no where to go, so they did not have the GMAs this year and that is why, I have a lot of friends that are in Southern gospel and I hate it."

It just hurts that someone would say that about, in my opinion, the best music out there. The Isaacs put this city on the map and has deep roots here. Plus, look at all the great groups that sing in this area. It is terrible when Christians put down others, while still "preaching" the word.

I think it is funny how one or two people on here tries to make me look bad, I do not dislike Southern Gospel music, It is my roots, everyone knows that it is the music I grew up on, and the music I sang for years in almost every church here in LaFollette, Our producer in Nashville is one of the biggest Southern Gospel Producers in the Music Biz, he has recorded everyone for "The Gathers" to the Late "Dotie Rambo" to the Late "Vestal Goodman" he has also recorded "The Isaacs" and the "Crabb Family" and "Jason Crabb" as well, What I was saying is this great music that we all where raised on is fading away, there are no new Southern Gospel groups any more, I was told by a several music industry professionals, that Christian music will be no more in 4 to 5 years, I believe it is because people are taking God out of everything.

The Isaacs were once blugrass gospel and the memebers of the family wanted to go more modern, hence Joe left to do regular bluegrass and for another woman, now they sing some sort of praise and worship style music. I wish they would go back to their roots.

That's like country music sounds like rock music. It is crazy. Sounds nothing like country of the past. Love old country music. 70's 80's and 90's. I like southern gospel.

I believe Lafollette was on the map before the Isaacs came. Also since Joe left, the group isn't as good. That's just my opinion.

The Isaacs do not sing P & W; more country sound than anything, but far from P & W. Last time I heard them they had a drummer and that takes them out of the bluegrass category. As far as roots, they don't have deep roots in TN, but KY & OH, yes.
Maybe you should read their Bio.
