Do your research or call their Corprate Office and they will tell you that they do not support any or now military Troops what so ever. I do not want a business in our town that doesn't support our Military. Walmart does 100 percent!

Do they not support our troops as in the soldiers themselves or do they not support the war? There is quite a difference. I myself support our troops (the soldiers themselves" as individuals & appreciate & admire the commitment & sacrifice they offer of themselves however I 100% DO NOT support the current war in Iraq. I am 100% supportive of helping our neighbors in other countries however in my opinion, this war began as a vendetta or out of revenge as opposed to beginning for the right reasons. You can support the troops as in the soldiers individually & not support the war.

Again, I'm amazed at the lack or just plain laziness of some people! They come on here & post about issues they have no clue about & are just too dam* lazy to research! I just did a quick google search just between my last posting & this one. I received several press releases & items in the search about targets commitment with programs to help troops & veterans & their families. The fact is, it began, like many ridiculous web rumors, with a fake email dispursed throughout the web. People began stating Target was a foreign owned company which is false. They are american based in fact. One single soldier aggrevated the rumor when he returned from the war & was caught passing bad checks, stealing & was convicted of further criminal activity & was let go from the corporation after being convicted for felonies. Several being crimes against the store himself through his employment there. It was a rumor, nothing more. Please take the time to research & get facts strait before posting rumors! Campbell county can't afford to lose another business to politics or rumors!

Here are several references. The second explains the entire rumor in full.

Both of these are actually written and released by Target. Do you have any unbiased press releases to support your claim that this is a rumor?

there are companies out there that mess with the military. I had a job at convergys in Clarksville when stationed there and my manager tried to tell me I couldn't leave for military service, telling me I had to use unpaid time off to go to drill weekends.

No, Target does not directly support Toys for Tots. So what? Not everyone does.

Here is the research about all the other internet myths around Target.

This is a reference not written by Target that discusses the various military causes they support. I heard about Target being anti-military and did some research because I was disgusted. They do support the military, and in 2011 Target was a Top Military Supporter (see reference below). Hope this helps!

I will never support the U.S. military. And furthermore, every soldier in the U.S. military is a criminal. When entering the military an oath to uphold The United States of America's constitution is taken from my understanding. The current military actions are 100% unconstitutional.
You have nerve saying what you said about our military. "Every soldier in the U.S
Military is a criminal", and you don't support the military. How do you think your freedom became yours. Who do you think fought and died to protect you, your freedoms, and the US constitution? You have no idea what the constitution says because you have never read it.

You enjoy all benefits that this country provides, that others have provided to you which are mostly soldiers, but you don't like them.

You are a disgrace to this country

You're an idiot!!
whoa talk about nerve

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing

War is something that I despise
For it means destruction of innocent lives
For it means tears in thousands of mothers' eyes
When their sons go out to fight to give their lives

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing

War
It's nothing but a heartbreaker

War
Friend only to the undertaker
War is the enemy of all mankind
The thought of war blows my mind
Handed down from generation to generation
Induction destruction
Who wants to die

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing

War has shattered many young men's dreams
Made them disabled bitter and mean
Life is too precious to be fighting wars
each day
War can't give life it can only take it away

War
It's nothing but a heartbreaker

War
Friend only to the undertaker

Peace love and understanding
There must be some place for these things today
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord there's gotta be a better way
That's better than
War

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again

War
What is it good for
Absolutely nothing
Say it again Bruce

who cares. When I'm in a store looking for something the last thing on my mind is if they support our troops. It doesn't matter. To be honest I do support our troops but dang I'm tired of everyone kissing there butts
