Snakes are so passe' and besides, they require care and feeding.

GUNS are a better way to show how much Yahweh loves you!

You know...good old Russian Roulette, the potentially lethal game of chance in which a player places a single round in a revolver, spins the cylinder, places the muzzle against his or her head, and pulls the trigger.

Let us see how much you REALLY trust your imaginary friend.

Heheheeee....Just trying to drag Christianity into the 21st century and as a bonus, get rid of the more annoying of them.

Don't you wonder why they don't use the "drink poison and not be harmed" trick?
I guess that the snake MIGHT NOT bite but poison, real poison, is certain to kill them.

Besides, snakes are way more showy than a little bottle with a skull and crossbones on it, huh?

You know the atheist extremists would be all over this. If you want to eat become a Babtist,if you want to apologize become Catholic and if you want to argue become an atheists! Now i guess i get a YouTube video link penalty because everybody knows they're based in fact, i mean they were made last month in grandma's basement after all. Hey, we can all play dress up and say it's Halloween,at least candy is involved. What happend did your local family dollar run out of all the good costumes? The bible thumpers my be wrong but at least they have punishment for say someone who walks into a store and kills 25 people and then kills themself.

Thumpers have IMAGINARY punishment for people like that.

The idea that a person who murdered your loved one (and then escaped earthly punishment) is going to suffer forever offers some kind of solace I suppose... but there is absolutely no proof that hell is real.

Life is NOT fair, Hypocrites.
WANTING it to be doesn't make it so.

Thanks for the sage words of wisdom grandpa. I was wondering why i'm not currently a millionaire. How about if you look at the situation "of goin to hell" as deterrent and not a retribution, but that would mean considering that there is more than one way to look at things other than yours. What was I thinking. Everybody knows that witches and warlocks aren't afraid of fire silly. Thats third grader common knowledge, when we all believed in...i mean learned about them. Now a girl, her little dog and a bucket of water would put the boogyman back under your bed I bet.

You are welcome. I am indeed old enough to be a "grand" though I am not.
I am also female.
Life may not be fair bt maybe you just haven't worked hard enough, been smart enough, or lucky enough to be rich.
Would being rich make you happy?

Do you honestly think that "going to hell" has ever stopped anyone from breaking the law? Going to prison (which is real and observable) doesn't stop them. No one ever thinks they will be caught.(Actually some of them are right but lots of them aren't.)
In the case of Christians, all they have to do is be sorry later and tell Yahweh how badly they feel and promise that they won't do it again.

There are as many ways "to look at things" as there are people.
I just told you how I look at it. I can't speak for others.
Hypocrites wrote:

If that is a question, I'm sure I don't know.

From your lack of being able to offer a reply to a post without the need to break it down sentence by sentence it would seem you're far from "grand"."Going to hell" is at least something proactive, what have you to offer? "Yahweh"? Is that world of warcraft terminology? Sorry I failed nerd in school. Or are you trying to say God? If i have spewed the ignorant rants you atheist extremists have about the ideology I'd be ashamed to say the name as well. Just like a self centered, selfish person to think someone would need your permisson to stay or go. Wake up because the world doesn't revolve around you. Maybe it's the whole "end of time drawing near" that's shook all you nuts loose from the tree.

Should I just lump everything together and wander all over the place, as you do?
No, I address what you say.

[QUOTE who="Hypocrites "] "Going to hell" is at least something proactive, what have you to offer?
Reality.
Hypocrites wrote:

I say what I mean so there will not be any confusion.(But apparently you are still confused...lol)
Yahweh is the name of the biblical "god."
"God" is a job description, not a name.

What are YOU ranting about? I am far from extremist. You haven't talked with many atheists, have you?

Ashamed to say what name?

Stay. Go. Who cares? You don't need my permission. Did I say you did?

MY world DOES revolve around ME. As YOUR world revolves around YOU. We are all at the center of our own worlds. Didn't you know that? Take some psych classes.

The fact that atheists have become more vocal has nothing to do with the "End Times." Fundamentalist Christians have trod on the rights of those who don't share their beliefs for a very long time. We are simply tired of it and finding out that we are many.(Thank you, internet.)
They can believe whatever they wish ...but when they start trying to make laws that deny others the freedoms that they enjoy, then we are going to speak out.

"But hell is very real."

There is absolutely NOTHING to show that hell is real.
Nothing but YOUR fear makes it real for YOU.

Fear of punishment is a subjective emotional response to perceived guilt.
As a child we are told, "Just wait 'til your daddy gets home!"
But as an adult, that is no longer a rational reason to live in fear.

Replacing a real parent/ authority figure with an imaginary one only shows that you are too afraid to be responsible for your actions.
I govern myself.
I have done nothing in my life for which I feel guilt and fear retribution.

Christians can't say that... they need a scapegoat.

I believe you should change your name "witchinthewoods".SO CIOPATH , NARCISSIST or DUMB ASS!!! To say you've NEVER done anything you feel guilt over. Do you feel superior and entitled? All of the above names suit you. Sounds to me like your the one who doesn't take responsibility for their actions! If your so damn superior that you feel the need to condemn Christians for their beliefs, post your real name. Don't hide behind "BITCH in the woods". Oops...typo, witch in the woods. Don't be afraid witch. Better yet, stay in the woods. After all deer season is around the corner. Lol.

No. I've simply lived my life treating others as I would like to be treated.
I am a decent person and some others are not.
That does not make me better than them, just different.
Michelle wrote:

It is BECAUSE I take responsibility for my actions that I have lived a decent life.
I do WHAT I choose, weighing the consequences.
What I don't do is blame or credit MY actions to invisible superbeings.
Michelle wrote:

I am not "condemning" anyone.
I only point out the fallacies, inaccuracies, and absurdities of the superstitious nonsense called Religion.

LOL! If I ever changed my name, it might be to something like "The Voice of Reason." But no, I have been and will continue to be aWitchintheWoods.
There is no reason for anyone to post their real name and location on this forum. Topix is for exchanging ideas, not phone numbers.

What difference does it really make to YOU what this church/pastor are practicing? It is no violation of your rights or your conscience. Mind your business or at least attempt to understand what they REALLY believe before trying to discuss it.
