did you not notice to that I knew the price off the same items to make at home or was that not convenient to the idiotic rude comment you wanted so desperately to make.

Well hopefully they will hire their managers with lots of consideration! We don't need another nasty fast food place in this town run by dope heads and worked by 16yr olds that couldn't care less about sanitation and food quality.. Who am I kidding.. It's lafollette and McDonalds... There went any hope!
Let me clear this statement up. I work at McDonald's, and have been for two years. Come in any time and ask for me and I'll be more than happy to talk to you about the "sanitary" issues, and other things that you think you know what you're talking about. If I could take a guess, I would say you have beef with someone who works/has worked at the McDonald's in Jacksboro. Yeah, we do have a lot of young kids working there, but they would not have a job there if they didn't follow our sanitation guidelines. Gloves are constantly worn around any cooked/uncooked foods. We have probably one of the cleanest stores compared to other McDonald's stores in a 50 mile radius. John Faris wouldn't be such a successful person if his businesses were as bad as you are trying to make them. And as for food quality, um hello, its FAST FOOD. You can't expect to get a damn filet mignon cooked medium and get that in less than 90 seconds. You choose to go to McDonald's, you know what you are ordering, and what you are paying for. If you have that much of an issue, ask for it to be cooked fresh for you. If it's not straight out of the hot grease, bring it back. If that's not good enough, go elsewhere.

Remember, we love to see you smile. ;)

I used to work at mc Donald's in jacksboro when treena was there, early 2000s, I worked a lot as cashier but they liked to use me as a dinning room cleaner because I was OCD. I was in there about two years ago an I saw some teen boy cleaning and he never swept up the bar where you get drinks and ketchup, I pointed it out to him that there was tons of nasty under there, his response, as he swept sloppily with a rag at tables was, "i am just trying to look busy". I was completely taken aback.

So is Lafollette getting a McDonald's, if so when will it be going under construction for building the new place? I also believe if a McDonald's offers built then eventually other businesses will start coming to that part of town. I was just curious if this was true about a new McDonald's.

there is a difference between you all saying I am not with my son and spending time with him, and family time, like the zoo or a park or something like that. He has eating problems so if we side tract him while eating he doesn't.

as long as the "holier than thou" bunch runs everything CC will always be a backwater place, backward, ignorant and opinionated to what ever the preachers rant and rave about to control the herd? just because an establishment serves "demon liquor" does not mean that a family can't enjoy the food?I think it is a way to control who makes the big money in CC? keep the competition low and laws to help them keep control.Just drive to Knoxville and visit any kind of eateries you can imagine and more are opening every day. Makes you wonder why?

very true. Great post. Lately I have preferred wine, and read if drinking it in moderation it can be healthy. I can't stand beer. But would like to see some places around here go more upscale. You can drink wine and such at mccloud but you must bring your own and then pay them a fee just to serve it to you. Strange, but a way around the laws. I do understand their concern though, I stayed hours with a bunch of young 20 year old guys after a wedding reception and some were so drunk passed out on each other. I wouldn't let them drive off intoxicated. If people could trust others to be responsible the fear of people passed out or driving drunk would be less concern, but our youth have only seen this behavior in this county. I was floored when one of the friends walked up and looked at the guy and said, "oh that's normal". What? It is a sad day when that is normal.

It's hilarious how your post was marked clueless, when you actually hit the nail right on the head. The truth hurts, I guess that is why they marked your post that way. When you drive into these smaller counties in the Appalachian region from here through Kentucky and into Virginia/West Virginia, if you'll notice, most of these counties are dry counties (no liquor allowed at all) and there is a church every five feet. Then take notice that most of these towns are run down, have a higher ratio of poor/homeless/welfare residents, and then also take into consideration that these same counties do not have any industry or commercial buildings to speak of. A prime example of this is Scott County, just to name one place.(McDonalds and fast food doesn't count) Keep putting it all together and you can see where it goes to....control. The Baptist Association was dead set against Caryville getting the liquor law passed, if I can recall correctly....doesn't this tell anyone anything? Now that Caryville has liquor, the town is beginning to flourish instead of going bankrupt, which was the way they were heading right before the liquor laws were voted in. Change is coming to the county, slowly, but surely. And you can already tell that all the people in 'control' don't like it.

do ya remember lafollette had a mcdonalds...about 12-15 years ago?(guessing time, could be few years give or take either way)
it was where Kyotos is now. before it was captain d's.

i was told they moved to jacksboro because the taxes and utilities were too high in lafollette. i was also told that old man woodson wanted too much $ for the lot rent? ya know how rumors spread here...so really i dont know what was true or what was just shit-slingin.

anyways, back to the mcdonalds in lafollette issue...does anyone know for sure, PROOF if they are coming back?

Reminds one of the classic heaven jokes where there is a room in heaven and St Peter tells all new arrivals to keep quiet as the denomination in the room believes they are the only ones in heaven.some religious groups in America rant about Muslims,LDS,Catholics etc. They are no better than the ones they denigrate.Same with lifestyles and control, having a beer will send some to hell and others to a hamburger just depends on the mindset.
