False doctrine, false teachers. They and most denominations do not believe their bibles. Do they also sell everything as stated in MT ch 10 and in Mark? The people did it in Acts 2:45, everything holding back nothing. No bank accounts, cash, extra clothing. No computers, cars or furniture, on and on. Will these folks go into the hospitals and raise the dead? nope, they can't. None of this is to us today, including: "these signs shall follow them...."

What do they do with Paul the apostle, a new pattern 1 Tim ch 1, a dichotomy and to all (that's us) afterwards? Paul said follow him AS he followed Christ. Paul's OFFICE and his doctrine is elevated, Paul is not,(some will try that argument against).

What is the gospel today? 1 Cor 15:1-4 and eph 1:13-14. Everyone who just believes that, IS saved NOW, the purchased possession guaranteed. That is what stablishes, rom 16:25, because the gospel of Christ-IT is the power of God unto salvation to ALL who believe. No feelings, experiences, snakes, proving by works, walking an isle or anything else.

Those who act like this do not represent those who are Christians. These people base their "faith" (snake handling) upon something they have very little understanding of!

You could have saved yourself a lot of typing but just posting John 3:16.

I met a snake-handling family recently. They said they caught a rattler near their home. They was gonna keep it in some kinda box to take to church, but they said the snake was way too mean, Afrad of it or something. Said they was afraid to take it to church cause it was so mean, afraid it would hurt somebody so they killed it. Now, what's up with that? They need a friendly snake? One that's not mean, but nice? I don't get it.

On the other side of the coin I used to own a farm in VA I had a man that cut the hay to feed his cattle. One day as he was finishing up I asked him if he had seen any snakes as I hate the things and I'm afraid of them he said oh yes caught quite a few all rattlers! After rolling the windows up on my truck he pulled a grass sack from the back of his truck and while talking and looking at me he reached into the sack pulled out a big snake he had at least 2 feet of snake on either side of his hand it was wiggling around but it didn't bite him. He didn't think much about it turns out he was a preacher in a snake handling church he said you have to have faith I guess he did as he cut my hay for a few more years afterwards.

i believe this is tempting God because to me they are saying god if your truely god then i can hold this snake and drink this poison and i wont die the bible does not say drink this crap or to hold snakes i think its saying if you come across the devil your faith will protect you and if you eat or drink something that may hurt you, you will be protected just saying dont believe in handling snakes tempting god and allowing the devil to get his glory just saying
