Double check your facts, he is not stepping down! So whoever started this needs to actually read the articles!

So why does rector miller have so much power?

Because WE let him get away with everything. I myself included. He and Eugene are tyrants and need to be stood up to by us as teachers/voters. If we let them get away with this, it will happen over and over. No matter who the Director is.

You think? This is Campbell county.

Evil triumphs when good men do nothing. From personal experience, Campbell County is full of good people who do nothing when confronted with corruption. Rector Miller is proof of that. It never ceases to amaze me how many football-field "God" rallies, Eddie James concerts, and church-sponsored revivals, etc. occur in Campbell County and yet nothing ever changes. Just more lipstick on the same old pig.

Is he going to get away with this! I mean are there not some major consequences for all he had done and still doing?

K TOWN OBSERVER..I love your response. It is perfect! But what do you do? Especially if you were a teacher. We love Mr. Poston but a lot of us are scared of the repercussions. That's the bottom line.

Without question, it will require great faith, grace, and courage of conviction to take a stand for what is right. It always does. What is each person's "stand?" I can't answer that. One person's stand will no doubt be different from another persons'. What I can promise is it will come with a cost- a price most are unwilling to pay. Some have already made that choice though and have been left publicly twisting in the breeze while the rest of CC privately agreed with them...and yet did nothing- not so much as lift a finger to stand with them. Like the Good Book says, "Faith without works is dead." Campbell Countians can profess all the faith they want; until they risk something on behalf of that faith, it's just white noise. And dead.

dont really know rector just that he's a hothead, but Eugene Lawson has no business being around any child this man is horrible he should have gone to the military
Why the good people of Caryville keep voting him in office is beyond me.but I guess it's no difference than the 3 rd district voting in good ole Johnny Byrge .only in Campbell county do we elect a former garbage truck driver to make decisions about our schools, how sad.really sorry to see me poston leave, our children and our teachers will feel his absence.well I guess we an say it this county got it wrong again.

A lady told me this morning that The Volunteer Times was trying to make a public push to keep Mr. Poston for another year. How true is this? I have no idea. Would this even make a difference? I have no idea either. I wished we could start some sort of proper petition or at least have our turn in front of the board at the next meeting. This wouldn't just be for Mr. Poston per say. This would be an outcry for future directors that we will not be controlled by 3 or 4 dictators that meddles in every school situation.

Miller is the only educated and well spoken person on the board. He is the only person on the board who has ever put students and teachers first. That's why he's in 100% control of our county. He gets stuff done and don't care who he makes mad. He is respected greatly.
