I have two TVs with Guide Plus IPG and a DVR with TV Guide IPG. Both Guide Plus and TV Guide IPGs are run by a company call Gemstar-TV Guide and receive their channel line-ups the same in our area, piggy-backed on the PBS channel signal.
All three IPGs stopped receving their listings a couple of days ago. Charter Communications says they are not doing anything to block transmission of the channel lineup, but I am skeptical. I am wondering if anyone else in Onalaska, who has Charter cable and TVs/DVRs that use Guide Plus or TV Guide IPGs, are having problems receiving there channels listings. Anyone? |

On the west coast here - using it with my All-in-wonder card - have my weeks listing from Wednesday but yesterday and today it goes through the channel lineup with a 77kb file but then races past a 0kb file for the Television Listings.

I live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. My guide+ has not been working for the last few days. Turn on and it says something like, "More than one channel line-up exists for your area. Please select the best match. Make changes with editor." There are only 2 selections of channel 25 or 108 for station CKCO and neither will work no matter what editing, postal codes, or whatever I try.

I am getting the same message as you. It always worked before and I have never had an issue, now since 2 days ago I can nopt get a new listings to download. I have reinstalled 3 times and tried setting the zip to a few nearby zipcodes, and I double checked my system time, even in the bios to make sure they were correct and still no new listings :-( If any one figures out wahts going on then please let us know thx |

Glad I'm not alone. Practically destroyed my computer trying to uninstall and reinstall ATI software. Contacted them twice and no response. Think that possibly the service has been discontinued or the result of Gemstar's facility relocation. |

Same issue here also. Every time I have tried to contact then through the ATI site, I get no response. This seems to be the only place it's being discussed.
Hopefully someone will come up with a fix. |

Having the same problem in Richmond, VA. Since last week I get no listings - check system date or zipcode. I do believe it is the TV listing file that is corrupt. Does anybody know what that file name is? Sometimes I do get one channel 'G4' but I always get the 0 kb on channel lineup. Using TV Wonder USB.

Same here in Ottawa. My ATI All-in-wonder Guide Plus doing the same thing. I only found this problem after upgrading from MMC 8.8 to 9.16. I'm glad to look into the problem and finding others witht he same issues before trying to completely reinstall. Btw, 8.8 was so much better...smaller recording window popup, less CPU and better performance...don't know why they degraded the product like this.

Guide Plus updated just now, with info starting tomorrow. Will see if it is properly working then. In addition the software was updated to the latest configuration (1.0.0.54). |

I have just found out that the company may be at the heart of the problem here. I used GOOGLE to find a connection for the words “GEMSTAR GUIDE PLUS“ and I found a link that said that the “analog system was being dropped for a digital system sometime” I believe it said! The site was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TVGOS . Search for the word “listings” and skip to the 3rd occurrence. The paragraph says that it will happen sometime in 2009 but there has to be a connection here. This was a surprise to say the least. I have spent considerable time, as others of you, in attempting to locate the answer for this problem. I don’t like the fact that it was advertised very hard. They have a right to do this change, and it will probably enhance the system for them and us, but the effort involved by all of us? Now, how do we get the systems to recognize the new protocol? Is there a modified version of the software available to us? What now? Roger |

1 I love my RCA TV with the Guide Plus feature. When there are problems, "who ya gonna call?" The Guide Plus Techies!!!!!! This is the number to call: 1-800-386-7380. You will need to listen to the voice prompts. Then you will leave your name, phone number, zip code and the time of day you can be reached.(good to have a swing shift, stay at home mom, etc.) I have had them correct Guide Plus transmission errors at least 3 times. This last one was due to a helicopter crashing into a station's tower 2 years ago. The techs at Guide Plus are very helpful. It may take a little time and some technical research on their part but if they can fix your problem, they will. The number is: 1-800-386-7380. As to the discontinuace of Guide Plus, from what I understand it is the "analog" type that will not be compatible with any of the all-digital programming required in a couple of years. The fault is with the sneaks who pushed the legislative bill through to "require" us regular people to have digital instead of analog TV! I think this is required by 2010. Hope all of this helps everyone. I found the number on the web, by the way, about 4 years ago. I have had my RCA Guide Plus TV since May 2000. Lots of miles on that one...I'm an insominac night owl!!! LOL |

I have rca tv guide plus. Everytime my power goes out, the tv erases my code for the cable box setup. I have to call RCA everytime. I tried the 99999 and 00000, and I still can't get my code to come back.
