Why is it that the Princeton Police still promote the use of tobacco i realize the whole black patch thing but is it still necessary to have a tobacco plant on their patches and cars?(which i think looks more like a artichoke anyway) is the city really sending the right messages to kids?

I don't really think that the kids really pay that much attention or even care that there is a tobacco plant on the patch of the law enforcement uniform and car. Honestly, some of them probably don't even know what it is. What's next? Raising all kinds of stink over the Confederate Soldier facing South in front of the courthouse? Things like that have historical value and that is why they are on display for all to see. If it offends you so much why don't you complain and protest it to the point that they remove all historical landmarks and displays from public eye. It is no different than the issue of religion in schools and the 10 Commandments in the courthouse. Everyone wants to complain about everything that offends them to the point that there will be nothing left of our culture or history. This country was founded on the bible and the 10 commandments. If it offends you, don't look at it. Video games and TV programs and movies are what influences the youth of our country, not a tobacco plant on the patch or car of our local law enforcement.

Tobacco is not the scourge that is bringing this country down, it is idiots like you. This country started going to hell in a handbasket when they took religion out of school. I agree that Christianity should not be shoved down everyone's throat, and everyone should be free to pray, workship, or not in thier own way. This country was founded on Christian values and the King James Bible by tobacco farmers, and although historically important the only thing that is focused on is the freedom of religion and how people are intollerant of the fact that this is a Christian Nation. The law doesn't say you have to be a Christian, you may practice whatever religion you wish. But face facts, it is what it is.

wky woman, you forgot all of the overweight people,(Gluttony). And what about those on disability who don't really need to be, they are committing the act of Sloth which is another deadly sin. If everyone that committed a deadly sin or any sin was euthenized, there would be noone to take care of all of the innocent babies who have yet to sin.

I suspected my comment would get a reaction and it did. Allow me to clarify my statement...I was merely being cynical to make a point. The original post by "therealbrill" is symptomatic of the paranoid and discriminatory mindset that has infected our country over the last 40 years towards smokers and producers of tobacco products. Smokers are discriminated against in every earea of life and a are often shunned and even insulted. Child molestors and rapists are treated with more respect. Now we have another idiot in our midst who is offended by the patch on our police uniforms. I say go screw yourself !!!
