That's why these things happen. Being inconsiderate party punks then being a-hole when asked to move your blocking car would snap any Joe Citizen.

Randall's lucky to be alive today. He's a punkazz!

These are the kinds of irresponsible and reckless comments that make gun-control supporters happy.

Only knuckle scraping and yet to fully evolve missing links could support shooting at someone who lipped off.

And 50 rounds?!?!?! Even if only one shot was fired that is one too many. But 50?!?!?! What about the stray rounds? What are you going to say if someone not involved (or those involved) in this altercation had been wounded or killed?

This is plain and simple an anger management issue and an extreme example of totally unjustified use of deadly force.

If the above replies were made in jest then I still question their sense of humor.

If these are sincere thoughts and beliefs I would be very afraid to be their neighbor.

The guy Randall is a punk. Here he is partying with his friends acting all big shit because he's with his gang of friends and his father owns the house. Now the guy snaps because he's probably a war veteran who usally minds his own business and sticks to himself. Now the guys thinking I thought I left the enemy back in Vietnam.
Sure it's wrong to use violence against anyone. But only a war veteran would understand the way Martins reacted.
The problem is people want to be respected but they don't know how to give it.You don't give it,you won't get it.

There are a number of inconsiderate citizens in our society, and maybe the only way they can be motivated to be less inconsiderate is to motivate them through fear. Read what you want into this.

You Lolos are blaming the victim. Sure, maybe the guy was mouthing off, but he did not deserve to be shot at! Thank goodness for the NRA, that makes it easy for these idiots to get guns. The guy should not have had a gun, being a convicted felon, but the NRA enables guns to be easily procured and available to anyone. Hopefully the new administration will close these gun loopholes.

You're right Bob - I stand corrected.

What was I thinking? You and the others supporting using a gun to adjust the attitude of people who make us mad are brilliant.

Thank you for opening my eyes. And what a great story all of you will have to tell the other inmates.

The NRA supports the laws prohibbiting felons from owning guns...they no more want guns in the hands of criminals (and in this case, an idiot!) than you or I. But to say this guy was able to get a gun because the NRA "enables guns to be easily procured and available to anyone" is just plain wrong and shows an obvious ignorance of the rigors involved in obtaining a gun legally.
Now, if you could explain the "gun show loophole." Here's a hint, there isn't one.

Pali,
I agree...seems ironic, either folks want bans on guns in civillian hands, or they want to shoot anyone who lips off to them.
Strange.

I bet the next time Randall blocks someone in and is asked to move his van, he'll get off his butt and move it. Inconsiderate punk.

It is a shame that this guy is going to do 20 years in prison just because someone wouldn't move a vehicle.
See the danger in having a loaded firearem handy. Whenever one doesn't get his way in life, just grab da gun and go "Rambo."
I hope it was worth it to you as you will havae 20 years in prison to think about your irresponsible act.
Having a loaded gun to back you up is just as bad as having a gang (group of friends) to back you up when there is some trouble. It gives you confidence but it gets you into some deep trouble.
A couple of minutes of bad decisions and actions will cost you years in jail.
It isn't worth it.
Please people, think about the consequences of your irresponbile actions before you do them. That way, you won't hurt anyone and have to go to jail for a long, long, time!

Actually, the statistics on legal gun owners, and specifically those that have concealed carry permits, are the individuals least likely to break a law, any law. In states that have shall issue concealed carry laws the issue is repeatedly verified: legal gun owners/concealed carry permit holders, are not the ones you need to worry about. It is the criminals (and this guy was commiting a criminal act by mearly being in the possession of a firearm) that you have to worry about. Interesting that here in Hawaii, with some of the most strict gun laws i the nation a criminal could get a gun. Pretty clear evidence that gun control laws do little in preventing criminals from getting guns, nor would any additional laws.

I soooo agree. He asked for it. Maybe he will think twice before doing that again.
