Chief of police

Has anyone heard anything about who is going to be the new Chief of Police?

No but I hope he/she has previous Chief experience and can restructure the department. I saw that we just had a national night out, man are we behind the times. How about an experienced Chief with a proven record and not a newbie that will no doubt fail. Lets get a Professional and certainly not one that is going to be retired on the job...

I have heard there are few good applicants. We need someone younger that will be willing to work hard for what the city needs. A working Chief that is the best kind for a small town someone who will be involved in the community and not behind a desk.

They narrowed the field. One guy is from Central texas...progressive I hear. Small town experience, working type Chief. A couple of others have no previous Chief experience. So question is, like I asked before, Experienced or newbie? We don't have to start over to start over.

Are you sure he is from Central Texas? I am aware of one of the applicants and I know the City he would be leaving will be very upset because he has made a lot of good changes so Pilot Point would be lucky to have him.
