Drugs in Kounzte

I don’t know about some people who live in Kountze but I see there is a big problem with drugs in this city. I believe the citizens need to work along side the police to try and make a difference. I know the drug problem is not going to go completely away but at least we can put a good size dent in it. I would like to ask for suggestions on how we as a community can be more effective and involved with fighting this drug problem. I believe with the communities working along side with the police can make a big difference.

First think Kountze needs to do is hire some real police. The ones they have now spend 97.5% of their time on 69 in front of the middle school, writing speeding tickets. If they went over to the other side of the railroad tracks, they might actually make the city a better place to live.

this is in response to Anonymous: The last time i checked part of a police officers duties is to catch speeders. I do agree that if they are seen in one area all the time other things are not getting done, but i do not think all of the officers do this. i do know that during the school zone hours the officers are in the area in front of the middle school more often. I read the silsbee bee from time to time and i see that there are some officer that do more than just write tickets, and for the remark on going to the other side of the tracks i disagree with this statement. the drug problem is city wide not just on the other side of the tracks.

yeah there is a bad problem with drugs in kountze. they are everywhere and i can tell you i know they all come from houston. these people all go to houston and get these large amounts of dope/pills and sell them and make huge profits in the mean time familys and lives are being destroyed. i don't see what the problem is follow these people and crack down on them....that's what's wrong with the world today....everyones on drugs. get ahold of yourselves people.

Drugs are a very big problem in kountze, but what are police to do? the dealers know that they will get out of jail and start the same thing all over again. The police know what areas to work. It takes time and money to bring down these dealers. This is a new year things are going to change.

Yes you're right. The cops know who's selling the dope but they don't do anything about it. The local marijuana dealers go to houston, buy a bunch of dope at the price they get it. Sell it in kountze and make profit. I can't even think of a time when one of these guys was even arrested!
