how can the "trinity" be real when the very word itself NEVER appears in the Bible. Does the quote "I and my Father are one" ring any bells

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit [Matthew 28:19].

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all [2 Corinthians 13:14].

To God’s elect...who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood [1 Peter 1:1-2].

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
Act 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land?
Act 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and [so is] also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Act 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
Act 6:5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
Act 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers [did], so [do] ye.
Act 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
Act 8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
Act 8:17 Then laid they [their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Act 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
Act 8:19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
Act 9:17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord,[even] Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Here are some scriptures which may help you. Everything is forgiveable except blasphemy against the Holy Ghost according to the scriptures. There is also a scripture that says if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us. God always has the final say. He will also have mercy upon whom He will have mercy.

2Ti 2:16 But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Col 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I hope this helps.

Let's just say you don't want to be speaking badly of the Holy Ghost or irreverently

2. Judaism. a. an act of cursing or reviling God.

3. Theology. the crime of assuming to oneself the rights or qualities of God.
4. irreverent behavior toward anything held sacred, priceless, etc.: He uttered blasphemies against life itself.

----------

Origin:
1175–1225; ME blasphemie < LL blasphēmia < Gk. See blasphemous,-y 3

Synonyms:
1. profanity, cursing, swearing; sacrilege, impiety.

You're welcome.

I don't know if this is for your benefit or the benefit of others, but notice in the scripture from Colossians it states "to put off ...blasphemy ..." which would indicate or suggest to me, that if someone were guilty of blasphemy in the past before they came to the knowlege of God, then don't continue. If one has been guilty of blaspheming God after being baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost - well, then, that is between that person and God. I would imagine it a very difficult thing to do (blasphemy against the Holy Ghost) if one has a right relationship with and genuine love for God. This is just my opinion though.

Robbi, I've got a problem, thats why I'm asking these questions, and it seems your the only one that is trying to help. Iam a Christian and do go to church 3 times a week. Iam constently being attacked by the devil. He puts things in my head like to curse at the Holy spirit or to make fun of someone that is talking in tongues, since it is un unforgivable sin or so Iam lead to beleive that, so that I won't make it to Heaven. I don't know what to do anymore. I have prayed and even tried fastening. Have I committed this sin even though I don't want to.

Enoc, my friend. God knows you better than you know yourself. Please do not despair. That is what satan wants you - in a state od despair and hopelessness. I am sure many Christians have had similae experiences. There was a time in life when I had demonic voices tell me as clear as if they were standing right next to me tell me that God will not forgive me and that I was going to hell - straight to hell, as a matter of fact. But those are lies if we don't feed into them. Satan is an accuser of the people of God and he is always throwing back in our faces our past and current faults.

From what you are describing, it sounds as though you have some demonic spirits (for example, profanity, shame, guilt). I am not a preacher or anything like that, but I know what I have expereienced myself and have witnessed. Sometimes demonic spirits mask themselves as depression or other feelings or acts so that they are not easily recognizable. Just because one has a good relationship with God does not mean one is exempt. That means anyone professing Christianity or to be saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. What I would suggest you do is talk to your Pastor, if you have one and you feel you can do so, about deliverance - true deliverance. There are many Christians who do not believe in it, but it is for anyone who wants to truly be delivered. These demonic spirits may have attached themselves to you when you were younger from something that you were exposed to or whenever you were exposed to them, that is why it is important to guard our gates into our souls - eyes, ears, mouth, nose and sometimes what we touch.

I will try to get the names of some books you can read about deliverance if you're interested if there is no one in your immediate area, but I'm sure there is a bible-believing church in your area who can help you. I will be praying for you. God doesn't want anyone to be eternally damned, but it is up to the individual. keep up with the pray and fasting - we all need that. I am going to reply in another post some additional scriptures which may help you.

I hope this is of some help to you.

Enoc, read this:

Mar 5:1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

Mar 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

Mar 5:3 Who had [his] dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

Mar 5:4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any [man] tame him.

Mar 5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

Mar 5:6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,

Mar 5:7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus,[thou] Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

Mar 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man,[thou] unclean spirit.

Mar 5:9 And he asked him, What [is] thy name? And he answered, saying, My name [is] Legion: for we are many.

Mar 5:10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

Mar 5:11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

Mar 5:12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

Mar 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea,(they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

Mar 5:14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.

Mar 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Mar 5:16 And they that saw [it] told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and [also] concerning the swine.

Mar 5:17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.

Mar 5:18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

Mar 5:19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

Mar 5:20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all [men] did marvel.

Enoc, here are some more scripture verses pertaining to unclean spirits (spirits that are not of God). When you get a chance, grab your bible and read the whole chapters because it will make more sense as you will get the whole story rather than just a sentence or two. You can also down load e-sword to your laptop, pc, or pda which is the bible on-line. It's a free download and you can select which bible version you want to download like KJV, Reina Valeria, NIV, etc. or whatever language you prefer.

Mat 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Mar 1:23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Mar 1:26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
Mar 3:30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Mar 5:2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
Mar 5:8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man,[thou] unclean spirit.
Mar 7:25 For a [certain] woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
Luk 4:33 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice,
Luk 8:29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
Luk 9:42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare [him]. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
Luk 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

if i might add to blaspheme the holy ghost is to speak bad about his spirit, to down talk his spirit, IS TO SAY HE ISNT WHO HE SAYS HE IS, AND HE IS THE GREAT I AM. HOW CAN ONE SPEAK BAD OF HIS SPIRIT AND NOT YET SPEAK BAD OF HIM THE DEVILS A LIAR, HE WANTS TO MAKE YOU THINK YOU ARE, SO THAT YOU GIVE UP ON GOD WITH NO HOPE, AS IF TO COMMIT A SPIRITUAL SUICIDE, BUT WHEN EVER THOSE THOUGHTS COME TO YOUR MIND OR THAT VOICE, NO THAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR OWN AND IT IS SATAN AND REBUKE HIM OUT LOUD AND TELL HIM HE IS A LIE AND GOD SPIRIT IS TRUE IN JESUS NAME!

Oneness does not appear in the Bible either,

These three are one, not these three or ONENESS there Both Hersey
The Bible clearly says they is a difference between God and Jesus, Acts 7:38
