My family remains in Kosciusko, while I am stuck in Atlanta. lol. I couldn't wait to leave there when I was young. Wish now I had never left. After 30 years, I'm terribly homesick!

My husband was in the army with Hank Halderman. He and his wife, Brenda, were our best friends back then. We drifted apart after the service and viet nam. We all got busy trying to make a living and raising our famlies. We found out about a year ago that they were both deceased, while we were at the VA hospital in Jackson. We cried. It hurt so bad. We know they had a daughter named Holly but that is all. We have a few black and white photos we would like to give her if anyone knows her. They were from McCool. Hank and Brenda were such good people and both so beautiful and in love. With out my husband helping Hank, I believe he would have ran off from the Army back in basic training to see Brenda. He was a lovesick man. Brenda would ride the bus down and I would pick her up and away we would go every week-end to see our guys. We had such good times then.

If I'm not mistaken, Hank was for awhile a deputy sheriff. Also, again, I may be mistaken, but I believe there was something about his son murdering him & or his wife, but again, I may have him confused with someone else. Everything I know is mostly from what my mom tells me. It's been years since I spent any time in Kosciusko.

I just stumbled across this web site and found my uncle's name. I have not talked to Holly in a while but I am making a trip out to Kosciusko soon. If you can please e mail me and maybe we can swap information. [email protected] Im sure any photos or stories would mean a great deal to my family.
