Too bad all our treasures usually goes to overseas collectors. It would be great if we could display them here.

The only opportunity to see the Hawaiian Money come back home for sale or to view would be at the Annual Hawai'i State Numismatic Association's Coin Show that will be held at the Hawai'i Convention Center October 30, 31 and Nov.1
Though rare, unique and costly the items are, at least anyone gets to see them up close in the Coin Dealer's Case because the Coin Show is Free Admission.

"Lada ma" is simply Hawaiian for "Ladd & Co." ("Lada" being the Hawaiianization of "Ladd").
The word "ma" when used like this doesn't have an equivalent word in English, but essentially means a person and those affiliated with or around him/her. The closest equivalent is the use of the word "folks" in local pidgin English. Thus, "Kimo ma" in Hawaiian comes down directly to us in pidgin as "Kimo folks."
