Husband and I are looking to relocate our family. We heard this town was a little better than Sevierville. Can I get a little insight on the town? Is it a good, family friendly place to live?

Great. That's the environment we are trying to get away from. Feeling a bit defeated because this is the area we really hoped to live in.

and we are both covered in tattoos, and never get treated bad or feel like theres a "mold" we need to fit into. we have had no problemms because we look different. people of course remember us always lol, but always greet us with smiles. pill heads are everywhere nowadays, its an epidemic in the u.s., but its easy to avoid them here. i would know because we moved to seymour to get away from drugs. we are now 4 years sober, from pills, and havent been tempted or offered anything once around here. seymour was our fresh start, and its been nothing but that.

I lived in Kodak for 3 years. Never had a problem but the school system was horrible. I have heard a lot of great things about maryville.

You have to ignore some of the poster on this site. They know nothing, but always make rude and false comments . Please look at the facts before before marking it off you list. Crime information is available at the FBI's website, school information is on several web sites, and information for housing cost is available.

I moved from Knoxville several years ago to Seymour, and never want to leave. My property taxes are less than half in Sevier County. Seymour has a limited number of restaurants, but they serve some of the best meals in the area.

Traffic during tourist season is the biggest problem in Sevier County.

Good luck in finding a new home.
