I am just curious to know more about this liquor store owning lawyer. For me and my family, it is kind of scandalous. As a Christian, I just can't bring myself to vote for someone that would sell liquor and then defend drunk drivers in court. I am sure he is a nice guy, but that just seems like a major moral dilemma to me. What else does he do in Sevierville that would make anyone want to vote for this guy? I am not being mean, but I would like to know.

And here we go. Someone trying to get some mud slinging started for the upcoming election. Nice!!

Honestly not trying to sling mud, but I have heard a lot about it in Jefferson County and in Knoxville. I am not supporting any of the other candidates, but I just don't understand how someone like this can run with such a huge issue of ethics. This is not something that I am just bringing up, its been in the Knoxville paper and all over for weeks. I'm trying to like the guy, but just can't get past a lawyer who advertises to drunk drivers and owns a large establishment that sells liquor. Is that not a conflict of interest to you?

And what liquor store might he own?

he owns the first liquor store on the left, going into the Burg. no lie, it has been all over the news and in the news papers. hes got a fantastic line, as to how he came about being the owner. Google him and you'll learn a lot of things. Like maybe..his wife, when they were married, "his child", that doesn't have the same last name, oh I'm being very delicate here. as I said, google the name and read all the interesting facts. There's also a lot of incriminating pictures out there from a couple years ago, he's a sloppy drunk and from what I've heard recently that hasn't changed, even with the new little wifey and family.
Not TN Values

I don't care how Andrew Farmer tries to sway it, there is nothing that represents the values of this area LESS than owning a liquor store and being a lawyer. The fact that someone could see all of the turmoil caused by drinking that goes on in the court system and then still run a liquor store doesn't sound like any values at all to me. I am a Christian and I could never support someone like that and feel good about it on Sunday morning.

what a bunch of idiotic hipocrits! First of all just cause he owns a licquor store, doesnt make u a drunk anymore that owning a book store makes u a bookworm!! And for his wife, shes really sweet. U are just some jealous person who wants to ruin a good thing for someone! Hell u probably dont even vote! And if u were educated enough to be a lawyer like Andy then u would probably represent criminals for the pay he gets also!!!

Of this three, I am leaning toward Griffith! Someone owning a liquor store is just not my thing. That's not my kind of values.

I guess some people just have a differing opinion on what values are. It not that he just owns a liquor store, but more about owning a liquor store and then running ads online to defend drunk drivers. I just don't see how you can claim you want to get drunk drivers off our roads and then sell them the freaking liquor!

Well last time I checked, people didn't get killed by fast food eating drivers, but they sure do by drunk drivers. Lets pray that neither of us have to deal with that.

Umm Duh!! Of course we dont want to deal with that!!! Just stating the point of just because he owns a liquor store doesnt mean he supports drunk driving!!!!

Well, you don't get drunk drivers without liquor. That is like saying that he doesn't support drug abuse, but sells drugs.

In case you didn't know, Alcohol related deaths kill more people than Aids, Tuberculosis and violence combined. And that's what Famer chooses to sell to people?? Doesn't sound like the kind of guy that I would want representing me and my family!

He must have bought his way through law school by selling liquor, because as a lawyer he is a joke... and btw he has never been my attorney or have i ever had any dealings with him. Ive just been in the court room a few times at the same time and he seemed like a 12 year old trying to do it... dont think thats the guy i want to vote for

Twelve years old? That is quite a compliment to Mr. Farmer. I would say more like a seven year old. He is not someone I would ever want to represent me, in the courtroom or in the State house. He needs to focus more time on his liquor selling. that seems to be where his heart is.

i think u guys are a bunch of jealous biggots! And if u need a lawyer for any reason maybe u should check the lifestyle u yourself are living!! Again, just because he runs a liquor store doesnt mean he promotes drunk driving!! And i hope to hell none of u biggots have ever drank a drop of alcohol cause im sure u have and that would be like casting stones living in a glass house! And if u dont wanna vote for him, fine! Im sure he will get plenty of other votes!! Go find a hobby and quit acting like twelve year olds yourselves!

So because someone sells alcohol and doesn't think there is anything wrong with it, I am supposed to check my own lifestyle? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but I do respect your opinion. I am not saying that selling alcohol means that you promote drunk driving, but you can't get much closer.

Justagirl, you can't win and you can't give up.
Go Vote for Andy tomorrow and be proud of it.
She has three more sites and started them all, Dandridge, New Market and Sevierville and probably Jeff City and maybe others. Your arguments with her are tame, compared to most, but she evidently has not left the computer in 2 weeks ! It will be all over tomorrow.
She changes isp's so fast it will make your head spin, it has probably just been you and her alone on this post.
Jeff County supports Andy and we are a dry county, well almost.
