I've heard it's a done deal - it won't be long and Clarica (Ms Buns) will be in too. One big happy family. Will it last? And what is going to happen with the audit? Do you think the gals have been taking classes?

No Kidding? Is she really behind on her taxes? Maybe all of us should quit paying taxes - it doesn't seem to matter. No wonder our taxes keep going up - we're paying for the deadbeats

You are so full of it ! Mr. Burns is the past and never will be working for the voters again . I wound not vote for her .
All you people do is CRY like little babies. If they happen to choose Glynanna so be it . It was obvious the Republican Party VOTED in what will go down in the history of Delta County as the worst Treasurer EVER . And what is it that yall do ? I'll tell what it is Nothing because you all are too high and mighty to say WE or I made a mistake .

The most quailified should fill the position that your Mrs.London resigned from AND JUST TO THINK ALL FOR THE SAKE OF THE PARTY . I can not wait for a New County Auditor (that no one knows)that will help this County get back on track. Never should have gotton rid the the County Auditor postion ! All we had to do is get another . But NO your Treasurer said on record that she ( I ) CAN DO THE JOB OF BOTH . Look where it has taken us in just 3 yreas or less ? This really looks good for the Delta County Repbulican Party . Is that your best ? If so , You are in TROUBLE !

Property taxes have most definitely went up because of the 4 millon dollar football stadium and the new school AND the TAX FREEZE for ELDERS .
The Tax Freeze with all of the above were on the ballot for vote and they all passed . It seems like everyone in this county is complaining about their taxes . But are voting for things that in reality will raise them . For example the Tax Freeze will cost this county Tens of Thousands of dollars each and every year from now on . You can Thank Gleen Mariner for that !! He took it upon himself to get a petition to freeze taxes WITHOUT DOING HIS HOMEWORK !!! Everyone that Voted to Freeze Taxes should not complain . I voted No for the Tax Freeze , THANK YOU GLEEN MARINER for helping to raise my taxes .

Yeah.
Thank you Glen.
My mom won't have to worry how she can come up the the higher taxes next year.
I hate you (Glen)for not raising her taxes and making me pay higher taxes instead.
She could eat dog food instead of spam and reduce my taxes.
Next time do your homework before you keep U C it from rasing moms taxes so she gets a better county raise so she can take over Janes job.
Mom ought to pay more since she uses the school and the football field so much.
Oh, I forgot. Moms taxes didn't go down, they just won't go up from where they are now.
Damn they need to go up. Do your homework next time.

You have serious issues - What kind of evil are you? Thanks Glenn - just wish we didn't have to pay for low life dci's who would rather sit at home, collect disability rather than doing the right thing and getting a job like the rest of us. There is something wrong with those of you who don't realize it might be you down the road. I pity you if you really believe what you wrote. What rock did you crawl out from under????

A monkey could do better....her son is a thief and a dope dealer. She sticks up for him instead of getting him help....like, more prison time. She screwed the payroll taxes up the last time she was in office, because she knows nothing about computer programs. Gee! Get a clue county...wake up and quit letting idiots make decisions that they think are best for us.

Name calling always makes things better; don't you think? Talking about the kids also makes for good conversation. This is great! I remember back in grade school, we said the same things - only we spoke about ones mama. This is exactly why Newsome may need to get involved. We bicker and fight, call each other names. We are so intelligent - look at us now Maw!

If you could'nt understand that I was being fecious about what U C It said concerning the freezing of my mom taxes at todays valves then let me clear it up for you.
I not only support freezing our seniors taxes but pushed for the freeze.
I will pay more because of it, but it was the right thing to do.
I don't hate Glen. I thank him. I still work for a living and mom don't. It won't make it easier for me but it will stop the non stop rise in taxes for mom. It was the right thing to DO!

First of all, his name is Glenn, not Gleen. You really should pay more attention if you're going to bash someone.

Now about your ignorant comment: He did a lot of homework. At the time this petition was being circulated, 202 out of 254 counties had already passed this prosition in the state of Texas. That proves many people approved of this. Assuming you make it to 65 or become disabled and you own a home,(even a double wide) your taxes will be frozen. Most people over 65 will need some kind of break in Delta County if the current courthouse officials continue to be complacent and don't try and bring any industry or business in to provide tax revenue.

Better yet, this county could go after more than $700,000.00 in negligent county and district fines, court costs and restitutions that dating back to 2000. How does that grab you? If you want to bitch about your taxes, ask Judge Carrington why he won't participate in OMNI to get some or all of this money back into Delta County. I'll let you find out what that is and come back with a comment. If you don't believe me, go to the clerk's office and get the numbers. You may see some of your friends or relatives on the list. Now you do your homework!

My concern is this. We spent thousands to fix the problems associated when Glynana and Ms. Burns were in the office. By electing Ms. London, we thought we would change events. That didn't happen. The CPA stated her office needed more personnel. It's more than that. We need people who can do the job. Now, what's this going to cost us? This is insane and it's got to stop. When are we going to elect responsible individuals who will put an end to this nightmare? Going back in time and recreating the same scenario isn't the answer. When are we going to learn from our mistakes?

Glenn is just another out of towner looking to live cheap in Delta County.

Anyone who voted for the freeze did not care about the young people of this county, only themselves.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them. Discussing some of your plans with someone you respect could lead to even more brainwaves, and will assure you of their moral and emotional support.
