As a parent, I cannot imagine the pain of loosing a child. That being said, defending a person, any person, under the guise of "culture" for leaving a 6 year old child in the back of a pick- up truck to drink a couple of beers is outrageuos! Any 6 year old child left on his own was a recipe for disaster. The boy could have wandered off, been hit by a car, or met with foul play which is the case here. The father was completely negligent. Persons intent on criminal activities will always find a way to carry out their sick plans. The father is not directly responsible for his son's death, but he did place the child in a vulnerable and risky situation. The lure of alcohol over the safety of a child clearly shows a complete lack of judgement.
The person or persons who intitated this horiffic crime took full advantage of the child being left unattended. There will be no happy endngs here. A child is dead, a family is grieving. Two people have been named as the killer 30 some years later based on shaky eye witnesses, gosspip, hearsay and a coereced confession. This is all compounded by many years of feuding between familes, tribes, cultures, fear and reatliation. I'm asking for some perpsective here because this child deserves better. Many people here contributed to the early demise, directly or undirectly, of this beautiful boy. He was caught in the middle, or perhaps even a tri-angle of hatered, contempt and revenge amongst people he should have been able to rely on to love hm and protect him. If you want justice, true justice, then let go of the anger, the accuasations, the bitterness and pray that uncoruppted law will prevail. |

Are you from the area? Do you know anything about the town? Do you know the family? If not, let me set you straight. Willie was not in the back of the pickup. He was in the front with the family dog. His father did not go into the business to drink beer. He noticed a co-workers car there and had to talk to him momentarily. I grew up with the siblings of Willie and also knew him. This was indeed a sad situation. You could not have asked for a better set of parents. There is a lot more to the story than an outsider will ever know. |

To all of those people that are talking about willies case,i would just like to say that if you really cared about the case then you would understand how bad this trial has been for my family. And you would stand behind helping us to get justice for my cousin willie and if you know anything that would help out with this next trial to finally make sure that Greg and susan(.And anyone else that had anything to do with the kidnapping and murder)gets put away forever so that they cannot EVER do this to another innocent child and family.THERE HAS TO BE JUSTICE!!!!!!!

You are correct. I am not from the area. That does not mean I do not know the defendant. I would suggest that geography has little bearing on perspective. There has been quite a few statements made that young Willes WAS in the back of his Father's pick-up, and that his FAther was stopping off at a local watering hole for an alcoholic beverage. Do you deny that his Father was NOT consuming alcohol at a bar while his minor son was relgated to his vehicle parked outside? If there is more to this story, then perhaps you can shed light on it and get to the truth we all seek. I do not deny the guilt, anguish and pain the Father and the rest of young Wille's family has experienced over the years, but how can you deny any non-culpability here? Perhaps being an OUTSIDER, others have a less jaded point of view. If the accused are guilty, then may justice prevail. This is not about locality. It is about truth and justice!! |

As I stated before, you are wrong. Read the comment from a juror! |
