I visited this yarn store , laize-dayz in K falls (funky name). The people in there are TERRIABLE!
Gossip, gossip, gossip, about another yarn store of all things.
Is Laize so perfect or is it the green eye jealous monster that makes them so perfect? Im just happy there is another yarn shop in town that I don’t have to put up with Laizes crap!!!!

Klamath Falls is no doubt one of the most dysfunctional places on earth. If you have thoughts of moving there take a few moments and read what I have to say.Jobs are very hard to find in K-Falls so packing up flying by the seat of your pants is not recommended. Basically there are a handful of large employers ie, Hospital,College, Jeldwin and the Air Base. If you are of a minority status please keep in mind there are very few mnorites in Klamath. The ones that are there are ostracized and alienated by the white majority. Take time to see how many minorities are employed at the above mentioned companies. Crime is rampant in K-Falls. Every neighborhood there has been affected by crime. Drugs are also a epidemic in K-Falls. Divorce and spousal abuse is extremely high in Klamath. Depression and mental illnesses in Klamath keep the docs and cops busy. If you like gossip and rumours you have found your place. Everyone has got some insight from all the people who like chaos. Wood smoke in the winter will keep your plugged up and the mosquitos and midges will torment you to death in the summer. Education for your kids, oh they will get one. Pregnancy and peer pressure from ignorant kids abound in Klamath. Marriage, ask around and see how often many of the folks there have been married. More than once is the norm. If you come from California be adviced you will be blamed for all of the problems in Klamath, but the local yocals will gladly take your money for there inflated price on their house. Politics and good old boy mentality of Mayberry gone bad is all left to say. Thank God almighty for rescuing me from Klamath Falls.

I recently moved here and I notice a lot of what you are saying. Where would you say is a better place to live that is similar in size?

This town used to be wonderful to grow up in. We had Skateland and 2 malls. There was a petting zoo at Moore Park. The Mills would have employee picnics at Moore Park or sometimes even their homes. Santa would come to the mall. 2 movie theaters and a drive-in theater. There would be neat things to take the family to. Nyback's would have an open house every year. Businesses would have events like costume or dance contests. School games, carnival and events. The mills went bankrupt and this town died.

I think the commissioners running this county want it to fail! I moved here four years ago and saw a sign next to Fred Meyers about a Lowes coming soon. The empty lot is still there. Gotchalks is gone, the river walk has not gone anywhere. I heard Costco was trying to build a store in K-Falls but ran into many roadblocks, i.e. permits and special requests by the board. Without jobs there is no growth. Lowes and Costco could employ 2 to 3 hundred employees with a decent wage and benefits. I wonder how many people from K-falls and surrounding cities drive to Medford and spend money there. Oh yeah we have Jeld-wen, they hire temp employees at $10.00 an hour with no benefits and wonder why they quit, perhaps the new owners will do better. Many of these temp employees unknowingly sign a waiver, bypassing Oregon State law, saying after 90 days they must be made permanent. Jeld-wen owns the temp agency they hire through. I have heard they have many local and state employees in their back pockets. Klamath Falls could be a thriving town instead of a potential ghost town. The greed of a few people keep the majority in poverty, what a shame.
