If you do the math, at 250 an hour that is 200 hours and if you break it down again at 40 hours a week it is 5 straight weeks of work. Did he ever give you a hour break down of what he did? Was this a civil matter?

He did give us an hourly break down but you can see it was COMPLETELY made up. Using lawyers that NEVER worked on our case, double billings, etc. etc. Yes this was civil matter.....

The time has come to clear things up a bit. "Annonymous" (sic) is being completely untruthful. They are a couple who actually paid nothing to my firm for attorney time and effort, as distinguished from hiring third party experts to support their property litigation. They apparently expected free legal services for the very extensive legal work that was provided to them. When I learned that the attorney employed by my firm was violating law firm policy by not charging for that extensive legal time and effort, the attorney was discharged from employment. Still, after that "Annonymous" (sic) never paid a penny to my firm for that work. If they paid anything at all, it was to their expert witness and to their fired attorney after she went into her own practice and continued to represent "Annonymous". And, as for Barbara "from Springvale", the fact of the matter is that she and another acting on her behalf promised to pay their legal bills in exchange for continued representation, we relied on their promises and finished their case for them, and then they reneged on their promises and filed for a fee arbitration hearing with the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar 3 1/2 years ago, while also promising the Board that they would promptly pay whatever it determined they owed. Apparently, Barbara and her significant other didn't expect to lose that hearing, but they did. Predictably, despite the Board's order of payment, and event despite a subsequent court decision also requiring them to pay, they still haven't paid--more than $17,000 of unpaid work they duped my firm into providing. I appreciate the comments of those who appeared before me as a judge, and can tell you that their comments and observations were rather universally held. I likewise thank my many clients who, unlike "Annonymous" (sic) and Barbara, pay their bills in exchange for dedicated work and effort on their behalf, keep their promises, and know me much better than they do (or pretend to do). My professional and personal lives during the past five years have been very difficult and heart wrenching for me on every level. I've made mistakes and been punished for them tenfold by a very media-conscious and politically conscious Maine legal system. Some of the effects are long lasting and deeply eat at my soul. I wish like many that I could turn back the hands of time and avoided the mistake that sent things into such a tailspin for so long. But, with much heartache and determination, coupled with a wealth of experiences and insights gained by what I went through that make me a better, not a worse, person, I have endured and moved on. I continue to work very hard and faithfully as a lawyer and as a person for the many, many decent people who ask me to do so, keep their promises in return, and treat me as I treat them. If I am fortunate enough to return to the bench some day, I have no doubt that I will be one of the best damned judges people can ever know. And, I won't tolerate the "Annonymous" (sic) persons and Barbaras.

"He billed us every month but NEVER asked if he could take any money out of our account." What did you think the retainer was for? You didn't think he was going to actually bill against your retainer? You just wanted the retainer monies to sit and look pretty? Get real.

The People of York County, Maine have spoken they were ready for a change in the Probate Court. On June 10th, 2008 it happened. Donna Bailey defeated the incumbent judge overwhelmingly.
In my opinion! She is a crooked as it comes also. She violated her Oath Of Affirmation. Let land be sold when there was a ongoing case. Lost evidence. Let Conflict Of Interest go with the same lawyer in both Probate and Divorce Court and Notice on e-mail of Covering up a will. That is Ok? She is extremely bias against pro-Se litigants and should not be behind the bench!

what is it going to take to disbar Nadeau--get in line. he is head of the liar's club.he will take you monies, let your case go on and on --needs a lot of dough to pay his wife and kids- his
girlfriend wants a bigger diamond--he has no conscience will take your monies and sell you out if you run out of funds-he believes he is above the law--the judges allow this-with a slap on his hand--don' expect legal system to help you-thanks to one who defeated him in probate judge contest-will you be the one to help him make up the $60,000 he made as probate judge-someone has to-threatens you if you dare take action against him --don't fall for this-send complaints to Board of Overseer --after allhe has done to ruin lives he only gets a warning from courts-nadeau felt "outright shock" and depression-all clients he lied to are depressed-he is quite an actor-maybe his next role will be Pinocchio-his nose grows longer with every lie to clients-again join the line to disbar him-line is 5 miles long and growing every day--

My extended family hired him for a case and he droped the ball and they now want to go after him for all the wrong doing that he did. What we found is that he has a hard time with telling the truth, and we want to know if others found that to the case as well.
Lying, cheating, that is his forte. His expertise is in taking your money, smiling like a cheshire cat, keeping you case going for years, threaten his clients, denying them their legal rights and his ethical duties to them. This blight on the legal profession has absolutely no conscience as to what he does to clients and no matter how much he ruins your life, leaves you in debt--causes such emotional distress-these are what should appear on his ads for his services. When does it end -when the justices finally say enough is enough-you are disbarred. then we will all be free.

Yeah, does anyone remember when he was on the front page of the York County Coastal Star with his client that he had an affair with telling the world that he had never been happier and all the while having a family that he just ditched after they campaigned for him? I think this was big news, at least in Sanford, everyone I knew knew of it. This is not judge or legal representation material. There are no ethics whatsoever in this history.

we are now having top pay another attorney to be able to obtain the $30,000 which we paid to Nadeau. He allowed our case to continue for over 3/ one half years then sold us out and sided with those we had paid him to prosecute. nADEAU LIED TO US IN HIS LETTERS WHEN HE CONSTANTLY STATED TO US WE WOULD NOT ONLY RECOVER ALL OUR LEGAL FEES, BUT COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE EMOTIONAL DISTRESS WE HAD EXPERIENCED. tHIS WAS A LIE. wHEN IS THE mAINE SUPREME JUDICIAL COURT GOING TO DISBAR HIM SO NO OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO SUFFER FOR HIS LYING AND CHEATING. he IS TOTALLY LACKING IN ANY CONSCIENCE AS TO WHAT HIS CLIENTS ARE MADE TO SUFFER AND STILL IS ALLOWED TO REMAIN AN ATTY. cONTACT THE bOARD OF ovERSEER OF mAINE TO OBTAIN A gRIEVANCE AND aRBITRATION FORMS- THE MORE THAT REPORT HIM FOR HIS UNETHICAL ACTIONS, THEN MAYBE THEY WILL FINALLY DISBAR HIM.

ND CHEATING HIS CLIENTS.

Can you supply some information as to why you are interested in Robert M.A. Nadeau? As previous comments have indicated, Ex- judge Nadeau is no longer operating out of Wells, Maine, or in Maine at all. It is rumored he has a small practice in Bedford, NH.
He DID have small practice in MY. HE MOVED BACK TO Me on Feb 15. Now I'm curious as to why myself . he is not my attorney lunch yet representing the other side and although I'm not in favor of the other side and I'm not a lawyer just a person going up against him and I actually have pity on the party that is using him as he is never prepared disorganized and caught in constant lies that is called out by little old Maine I can only imagine the amount of money he is sucking from this family and they are too stupid to see it just believing his lies that they actually stand a chance sad .
