I agree with Mr. Ferentinos. WIthout transparency and accountability how can anyone figure out where budget cuts can come from. If I'm not mistaken he said to open up the budgetary process to the public. You go Tony.

Armando doesn't know that all budgets in Florida are balanced. Tony can't find anyway the cut anything out of a 800 million dollar budget. Neither are ready to be an elected county commissioner.

Mr. Ferentinos also said he believes candidates should not be able to accept donations over $100. Check his financial reports, if we are talking about accountability. He has received donations up to $500 from bankers, & attorney's

This year they will start on the 23rd of July. Every page is discussed. Tony has never been to one workshop meeting in the past 2 years nor has he been to the final meetings to offer any ideas of how to reduce the budget in the past 10. He ducks questions about the budget because he hasn't a clue what's in it.

Sounds like the good old boys are affraid of Tony. Wendell wants another expressway authority. Look at the past scandals with the ecpressway authority. Do we need one here?? What's in it for him?? Jeannie wants the County manager to do her work because she is clueless about the budget other than raising taxes and spending more money on usless projects. Arrington wants mass transit. Oh my GOD! Armando, Marta and Bjorkland still ahave no idea why they are even running. NOW WHAT? Tony beats the crap out of what we have in there now. Maybe we need someone with some common sense and that can relate to the everyday problems everyday people have.

I am tired of all the negativity in this race. Everybody just beats up the other candidates. I don't like any of the candidates. They all have problems. I will probably vote for Tony or Kent since neither have any government experience. Wendell and Jeanne both have government experience so they know how to rip off the taxpayers. There will be a learning curve for Tony and Kent, so hopefully they will do some good in the community before they get co-opted by government.

DONATIONS NOT OVER $100? DOESN'T THAT MEAN HE "INTENDS" ON IMPLIMENTING THAT? HE NEVER SAID HE WOULDN'T USE THE RULES ALREADY IN PLACE. A BUDGET DISCUSSED WITH EVERY PAGE TALKED ABOUT? NOT SO. THE BUDGET ITSELF IS OVER 700 PAGES AND DOES NOT SHOW LINE BY LINE ITEMS. IT ALSO SHOWS SOME EXPENSES AS "MISC". MAYBE FERENTINOS WANTS "THOSE" ITEMS DISCUSSED. HE HAS ALREADY STATED THAT COUNTY MGR AND CERTAIN DEPT HEADS DON'T NEED BIG SUV'S. GIVE HIM A SHOT.

Hey I don't like anyone running on the Democratic or Republican ticket for Dist. 3. I will give you this much, Ferentinos has descent ideas. If he he can do 5% of what comes out of his mouth than he's the guy to vote for. I know that Van Meter or Mckinnon have track records that truly stink. Kent on the other hand oh well you figure that one out.

I love it He doesn't want to practice what he preaches. Listen to the way he says it pretty tricky-or are you just reading the tidbit the slantinel printed- It's easy to tell this guy is a used car salesman. I guess he only wants to change the contribution laws once he becomes elected and it's not a worry of his anymore

The county budget is no where near 700 pages. Every county budget is line item to be stayed or removed at the workshops Tony has never been to.

Tired of the same from Birmingham, My real name is JOSEPH. If you like to meet me I'm all for it. I have nothing to hide. At least I give my first name and not HIDE like you. Oh by the way, millions of Americans who know how to write capitalize a word or a prase when they want to accent or emphazie something. Maybe you didn't learn that in school in Birmingham.

Unimpressive Candidates

Why does Kissimmee and Osceola County always attract such unimpressive candidates? We have a good size popoulation and a stable community, yet year after year, eleciton after election we get the same caliber of people running. No wonder we never progress.

You reap what you sow. Osceola is deteriorating just like the City of Kissimmee. Conditions in BVL and Poinciana are terrible.
Maybe the City Commissioners want to do for the county what they did for the city. I don't think the county needs to use Kissimmee as an example.
Uninformed candidates are just as bad as a snake oil salesman with a bias agenda.

I would say the same exact thing for the people already in office - a small group of Good ol' Boys who are 100% responsible for allowing Osceola County for turning into what it has become today.

Just look at the recycling of commissioners that have been basking in wealth and power for the past 10-15 years or longer in Osceola County. What have they really done. I'll tell you: SQUAT!

You are Probably Right

Your probably right. I guess we can look at McKinnon and Ven Meter. They both have served the City of Kissimmee as commissioners, but what have they accomplished?
