Probably another idiot yapping on the cellphone and not paying attention or one of those people that just ASSUMES traffic will hault for them because they just have to cross the street right then and there at that very moment no matter what's coming. IDIOTS!!

I drove by the accident this morning, at least it was at an intersection. 9 times out of 10, when someone in Kissimmee crosses the street, it is nowhere near a light or crosswalk. It looked like it may have been someone crossing a side street and someone turned into them, or the person may have been almost to the edge of 192 after crossing it before getting struck. Either way it is a tragedy that someone died.

I nearly hit a pedestrian in that vicinity (actually it was by the DMV--irony) A woman had walked right out into the highway to get to the median while the cars in the right lane were stopped because of traffic. I was in the left lane doing 45 mph and didn't see her until she appeared from behind another car. I jammed on my breaks and skidded quite a distance and all I could think was, "Oh my god I'm going to hit her." Once I was stopped I rolled down my window and asked if she was ok. She swore at me, so I assume that was a "yes." I had to pull off the road at the next gas station afterward because I was shaking so much. A co-worker happened to be driving behind me and stopped in with me to ask if I was ok. The whole thing was terrifying for me, and I was the one in the car. The fact that it would have been the pedestrian's fault in that situation wouldn't have made me feel one bit better if I had hit her.

I'm sorry for both families involved in the latest accident on 192. It's terribly sad.
