Since it is his request, let the defense pay for the cost of moving to another juridiction.

With all the hispanics in Miami and Casey blaming a hispanic woman for "stealing" Caylee this ought to go over REAL well for Casey. She most certainly will get the DP. Bozo is rather stupid!

I find it ironic that a defense lawyer who has actively sought publicity for himself and his client is now claiming that his client cannot get a fair trial due to pre-trial publicity. Mr. Baez, his media consultants, and the Anthony family should just shut up.

Moving this trial anywhere at all would cost a fortune. Witnesses, detectives, prosecutors, would all have to get hotels, room service, you-name-it. The OBVIOUS SOLUTION, is to bring an out-of-area jury here, sequester them if need be, and let them hear the case. If you ask me a south Miami jury is the wrong way to go, a panhandle jury is more like it. That's the OBVIOUS SOLUTION to anyone with half a brain, but then again, you'll never hear me saying our judicial system qualifies for half a brain. Judge Strickland? We shall see....

I wasn't surprised that Baez chose south Florida with all the Hispanics because isn't that were his friend helped him pass his bar exam so he can practice law here in Florida? And of course, Baez is thinking since there is many hispanics in south Florida, he doesn't have to worry about discrimination. Remember, he has been using this stupid Race Card as his alibi for so long. Doesn't he know that his native country of Puerto Rico is part of the US. I smell a rat with Baez moving this trial to south Florida..why not Jacksonville or other parts of Florida besides south Florida where there are many hispanics.

They can change the venue, perhaps, but the facts in the case will still be facts and those won't change.

Baez is a constant whiner and a complainer about his client not getting a fair trial because of all the publicity surrounding this case. Baez,Linda K. Baden, and the Anthonys appearing on numerous tv shows are causing this media circus which is contributing for Casey not having a fair trial. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Remember he is trying to use the fact that he is hispanic as the reason for the media "mistreating " him. Maybe he wants to be where there are Hispanics so they can fend for him and her. Thoughts?

I hope when this motion for COV is heard in court that the prosecution points out to the judge that it was the defense that didn't want a gag order and that it is also the defense that appears on all the talk shows in the national media. The defense is almost single-handedly responsible for there even needing to be a COV in the first place!

What a joke. Baez, Cindy and George
made sure this was kept in the media
so don't go whining again Baez. This
is why he objected to the gag order.
The public is sick of the three stooges already.
Baez likes to point the finger and
blame, blame, blame, but in reality it
is him who created the media circus.

Every time Baez files a motion, he is really bucking the legal system! All his motions have been very very irritating to the public and I hope Judge Strickland rope in this murder case very tightly. It is definitely getting way out of hand and he needs to control it.

As a previous poster pointed out Casey blamed a hispanic woman for ubducting Caylee. And, that isn't going to settle well in hispanic communities like Miami.

Baez can request all he wants as did OJ's attorney's in LA. And, like OJ it'll be denied because moving the venue doesn't diminish the media coverage and public attention one bit.

I agree with you. It woould be cheaper to move a jury to Orlando. Florida is really paying for this trail. Waste, waste, waste!!!

I knew this morning when I realized Bozo was making it known to everyone on the damn planet that he was Hispanic, that he was going for Miami.
What a dweeb!
I wish someone would introduce him to his client. She is going on trial, NOT him.
There's no race card, she is a young white middle class white chick!!
(No offense meant to chicks)
He needs to stop insulting the Hispanic community, What did they ever do to him to get dragged into this mess?

To Samuelgk of Birmingham, AL--I have a very strong suspicion why Baez wants to move the trial in an area where there is a heavy Hispanics population because they will probably side with him because he is Puerto Rican. Hispanics have the tendency to stick and fend their own.

I pray that the Hispanics will do the right thing and remember Caylee and the innocent victim Zenaida Gonzales.

What an ignorant statement. South Florida is Cuban; not Puerto Rican and Mexican like central Florida. Zenaida is a Puerto Rican, not Cuban.

There is a world of difference between a Cuban and a PR. Cubans are a 1000 times more sophisticated.

You know, the other day he was complaining about people picking on him because he is a hispanic lawyer. Now he WANTS TO CASE TO BE CHANGED TO DADE COUNTY

He is looking for HISPANIC SYMPATHY.

'Oh, poor me, a hispanic lawyer in Orlando area, nobody likes me, nobody loves me cuz I am a hispanic lawyer - guess I'll go eat dirt; nobody will care...but you people in DADE COUNTY/MIAMI AREA ARE ALL HISPANIC and you will LOVE ME AND FIND MY CLIENT NOT GUILTY, and I won't have to eat dirt!!! Then I can go sailing again with my amigo geraldo rivera on his big boat."
