The Iowa ACLU is criticizing the decisions of two western Iowa police departments to investigate the people responsible for distributing Ku Klux Klan recruitment fliers last week.

Dear Doug:
I would like to point out that KKK members act anything but Christian. The Bible does NOT condone violence toward your fellow man or woman, regardless of race. The KKK is generally full of people with crude manners, abnormally low moral standards, and lack of cultured behavior and/or education. This group is America's poorest and most disparaged and despised category of whiteness. The KKK always seems to recharge themselves at times of controversy. They resurfaced when the controversy about whether or not to legalize gay marriages, and now they've resurfaced again at the time of the immigration controversy. The KKK is a dangerous minority that can get sympathy from narrowminded, but seemingly otherwise normal people, in times of controversy. The KKK, therefore, uses times of controversy as a catalyst to spread its hatred and violence. I do not pity the KKK that has moved past lynching blacks in the 1800s right into home arsons, church bombings, and cold-blooded murder. It seems to me that anyone who can read the Bible and get "black or Latino people are evil" out of it needs to turn their second amendment -- protected shotguns -- on themselves. And ya know what, Doug, here's an added irony about your KKK group of racist thugs: The KKK is so ignorant that they typically use the Swastikah in their rallies that was used by Nazi Germany. But what many ignorant KKK members don't realize is that there was a time that Hitler banned the Mason's -- an organization with direct ties to the KKK -- from Germany. There is evidence that Hitler was being fed anti-Semitic information by the Freemasons and that Hitler retaliated to the infiltration of his intelligence agencies by forming the SS to weed out the Masons from his "Inner Circle." Hitler even went so far as to persecute and chase down Masons throughout Europe. The number of Freemasons from Nazi occupied countries who were killed is not accurately known, but it is estimated that between 80,000 and 200,000 Masons perished under the Nazi regime. Yet, Masons and KKK members seemingly admire Hitler and his hatred toward others even though they were hated by Hitler themselves, and yet they share the same symbol that Hitler's Nazi party used. What do the Freemasons have to do with the founding of the Ku Klux Klan? The answer: Everything. Albert Pike, a very high degree Mason in the 1830s era established the Knights of the Golden Circle, the early KKK in the South. Pike was the author of the infamous Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, a "coded" book for Masons. Not someone who I would consider your average "nice guy," history reveals that Pike was said to be a Satanist, who indulged in the occult, and he apparently possessed a bracelet which he used to summon Lucifer, with whom he claimed to have had constant communication. Pike was also the Grand Master of a Luciferian group known as the Order of Palladium (or Sovereign Council of Wisdom), which had been founded in Paris in 1737. Members of the KKK are typically ignorant and in every sense bankrupt of cultural endowment. KKK members are not anyone that I am proud to consider a fellow white American.

i am in hopes that people around the wall lake lake view area read this. it is a shame that in this small community that a business owner in our community would entice some young troubled kids into joining a group such as the kkk. it is a shame that you would take advantage of children who were neglected and show them hate instead of love. You, yourself, miss lighthouse cafe, should be ashamed of yourself. you couldn't even raise your children right and now your turning young impressionable boys into hating obsolete members of society. your own children don't even claim you and one of them is sitting in prison. just because you are a nobody in our community doesn't mean that you need to drag young kids down with you. people know who you are as well as the youth you are brainwashing. grow up you old bag. and if the kkk is so great, why did they not save your business??? the only reason you spread so much hate in our community is because you know how our community feels about you! if the kkk is something your serious about then you need to move down south where they are still 50 years behind and get the hell out of here and away from our children.

And who says that the rest of us don't stand for what we believe in??? The rest of us express our opinions but just don't shove them on everybody else. We let people do what they believe in with out the graffiti in our churches, and public property. If you are so proud of your beliefs, and would like people to join you then perhaps you should get a billboard on the highway and advertise it just like other "churches" do. A Hispanic woman born in the U.S. is Made in America. A Swedish man born in the U.S. is Made in America. A German woman born in the U.S. is Made in America. Based on the historical background of the indigenous people of that period in the Middle Eastern area where Jesus was the people would have been brown skinned, dark haired, and brown eyed. Every group on the Klan's targeted list serves as a scapegoat for individual Klansmen to explain and excuse their inability to succeed and advance in modern society.
